The updates were nice and beds were comfortable. It was fairly quiet near my end room which is such a nice change from my travels. I’m am giving it a 2 bc my room was not clean. The carpets were filth...y and surfaces looked dirty. The bed was made but but not well bc the sheets fell off so the mattress was exposed after barely getting under the covers. I left to buy Clorox wipes and Lysol and cleaned the room! The convention services were nice and didn’t encounter unfriendly staff but not overly helpful either. The fire alarm (false alarm) went off at least 6 times. One was at 5:45am and another at 10 pm. It’s a real safety issue because the alarm only sounds in the stair wells, so if there is a real fire not everyone can hear the alarm. Also, after it goes off so many times no one leaves their rooms. It’s a real problem. I would not stay here again. It’s overpriced. See More

We stay here every year during the holidays for my daughter's birthday. We dine and shop and then enjoy the hot tub and heated pool. This year I immediately noticed some things were different than in ...the past. No water set out in the lobby and other little things like that. We've always called this our family hotel. Me and my husband come for anniversaries. Were always taken care of above and beyond. Disappointed this year the pool was shut down. Ask the office and they say not in season. Well that's the point of it all being heated. I said it was open last year at this time and he wanted to argue with me. Well were under new management is the reason I was given for all the sucky changes. No one in my family will stay here anymore, well find someplace better! See More

Worst hotel experience ever! Valet n bell service was good. we came here hoping for a 4-5 star experience just to stay a night instead of driving on home. For a parents night out. We checked in got to our room and ugh, small rooms, room was nasty and disgusting, stains on everything, bed was extremely firm and lumpy would never be able to sleep on it, we even had the bellhop lay on it n he waa like yea this bed is messed up, we asked to swap to another room they said they're were no other rooms available that all they could do was give us free breakfast.jodi came up to our room to give us the coupons n we showed her everything n she said she would ask her supervisor n went back down we waited a half hr n none called or came back up so we went back down to front desk. I told them what good is free breakfast when there's no way we can sleep in this room and asked for a refund. They kept giving us the run around for another 1 1/2 hrs b4 we finally just checked out n said we had to go to another hotel then finally a "supervisor" comes out n gives us a refund. Our romantic night was completely ruined! Motel 6 has better rooms than this! It was sad! Go to holiday Inn or hampton if you want a nice room with nice beds and free breakfast See More

The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are large and were very clean. The valet was prompt and attentive and check in and out are easy. Hyatt has mastered technology and they provide the ability to st...ore your reservation in your apple wallet as well as online check in and check out.
The only issue was the Regency club breakfast and lounge. It is small and cramped and there was very little food. The eggs were cold and someone's kids were running around like wild boars with no parents in sight. They should have a rule about children under a certain age being accompanied by adults. They were in everyone's way and making a mess and putting their hands in the little food that was there. I skipped the meal and went to the mall for Godiva chocolate icecream instead. :)

I will not stay here ever again. I was attending a conference and had to wait almost an hour to check-in. Things happen so I never complained about that. The following days I had to ask housekeeping f...or towels because none were left. On the last day of my stay, I returned to my room (before checkout time)and the items left in my room were removed. I saw the housekeeper and asked where are my things and she said there wasnt anything left. I immediately went to the front desk and asked for a manager. The manager questioned the housekeeper also and she stated she only threw away food in the refrigerator. But when I asked, she says nothing was removed. The manager was to file an incident report. I asked for another manager. He wasn't in. I called back the next business day to speak with him. Of course he knows nothing about what happened and was to get back with me in a few days. That never happened. Now almost 2 months later, I'm being told no incident report was ever filed and the 2 managers I spoke with are no longer working there. Nothing is being done to my satisfaction. No one can answer my question as to why my items were removed and it wasn't checkout time when I returned. If you want to clean, fine! But taking and removing your guests items is unacceptable and I'm pretty sure this has probably happened before. I will not step foot in this hotel ever again. See More

It was very nice. I have not stayed here since Hyatt took over. The decor is more modern and simple but I sort of liked the gaudiness of before. We reserved a romance package and the chilled champagne... and chocolate covered strawberries and other snacks we're waiting with some pretty flowers in our room. Breakfast buffet was really good and late check-out 3pm was sooooo nice. Friendly staff, clean and will be back. See More

Stayed one night for a conference. Check-in was a breeze with very friendly and competent staff. Was given a choice of upper or lower level floor. Parked in the parking deck at no charge... lighting... in the deck provided for a safe feeling with elevator access to the lobby. The room was very clean with everything in order. Access to the Mall was a huge plus and the convention accommodations very nice. Would recommend to friends and family! See More

We loved the hotel! We were able to do an early check-in, had a room on one of the Club floors, and a complimentary breakfast just down the hall from us in a nice room with a beautiful view. Every sta...ff member we had contact with was friendly, from the front desk to the valets. We have decided to make it a Christmas gift for us, adding grandchildren and nieces when we can. See More

Good morning. My stay at this hotel would have been one of the most amazing time. The front desk staff was great. The catering was amazing and the staff was polite. The housekeeping staff was just fil...thy. The housekeeping was atrocious. They would come in make the beds and change the towels and consider that cleaning. They did not even change or add toilet paper to the bathroom. We had to call down to get it replaced (twice) before it actually came. After they cleaned the bathroom they would leave some of the towels under the sink. They do not vacuum so if you make a mess you will be in it until checkout. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless the housekeeping is drastically overhauled. The $8 parking fee per day for guest was a little excessive for a hotel. See More

My family and I decided to bring in the New Year with a day of shopping, fine dining, and safety, so we chose the Hyatt Regency. This was our first stay with them, but we experienced several problems ...once we checked in, from electrical problems, smelly stained carpet, nasty walls, and an extreme amount of hairs in the bedding and bathroom!! I can honestly say this hotel is in a great location but that's it. I'm afraid to say it was my first and my last stay here. See More

I booked a club level room for the privacy benefit of being placed on the 14th or 15th floors but was instead placed on the 9th floor and given club access. The staff helping with luggage were rude, fact, one yelled at me. I voiced my concerns and unhappiness to front desk staff and was simply told "sorry." The club room is suppose to have drinks and snacks available beginning at 5pm but at 520 they still didn't have everything ready, so we left. The hotel was hosting a magic city convention which meant there was loud noises in the hallways up til 2am. Road noise can be heard from the 9th floor. When I went to checkout this morning, I again expressed my unhappiness and was told management would call me to speak with me. I haven't heard from call or email.
My suggestion to travelers don't bother staying here - it's not worth the money. The rooms are comparable to a Comfort inn. So just drive on by and stay somewhere else.

We just checked in and we will definitely not be returning to this hotel. First we arrive and it's hectic from a convention, this is not the problem because as an avid cosplayer I enjoy conventions. T...he valet told us to park in the no parking fire lane. When we were given our room,it was not what we paid for. We were given a ninth floor room with club access instead of the concierge floor and told it was the same thing. It most certainly is not! The staff has not been helpful and has only offered an apology for their mistakes without offering to remedy them. I would have to compare our "club level imitation" room at best to a holiday inn room. Not worth the money spent at all.

I do not recommend staying in this hotel.

Breakfast was nice for the conference and so was lunch and dessert! The bathroom doors swing back & forth which I liked cause we all know somebody isn't going to wash their hands...therefore my clean ...hands didn't have to touch handle! Conference room temps were good...not too cold. Easy parking and access to conference. Sky's the Limit 2017 See More

When arriving the valet ignored us. I went in and he finally acknowledged us. We helped him put our luggage on the cart and he told us he would be right up. Thirty minutes later I went downstairs and ...there was our luggage right where he left it. So we took our own luggage up. The level of service and attentiveness has I'm sorry to say dropped since Hyatt has taken over mgmt. I am not writing it off as yet but, look forward to better services next visit. See More

I had a lovely stay. I came into town on a Friday afternoon from my home in Ft. Walton Beach, to get my new phone. I had originally intended to turn around and go back that night. But then I was reall...y tired and just wanted a bed. I found the hotel on Priceline. They were not the cheapest, but I really wanted to treat myself since I was alone in town unexpectedly. Other than the free WiFi in the room that really sucked, I had an exceptional stay. My room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfie. I used room service and was wonderfully surprised at how good it was as well as the price. See More

The rooms have been updated, but the food and banquet service is horrible. If you ask for water or tea, they roll their eyes and they do not know how to set up a table. We had soup with no spoons and ...had to ask and the soup got cold before the spoons arrived. See More

After reading the reviews on this hotel, I don't feel bad about this posting this review. This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed. This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time... I stayed here the rooms were not clean. There were white substances all over the room. The second stay, was life threatening. The plugs by the night stand sparked fire blowing out my charger as well as burning my necklace. When I confronted the staff I was basically told it was my fault and nothing was done. This place had terrible customer service. If you cherish your life, DO NOT STAY HERE. See More

The Only GOOD thing about this place is the convenience to the mall. The manager never called me regarding my concern, even though he was there everyday and the reps was Maki g a list of people he nee...ded to call. There was only 2 clean towels and the 3rd one smelled used and had stains on it. I will definitely tell my corporate not to let us stay here anymore. And check-in is chaos. See More

We have a great group of Team Members. Here are 3 of them that got into the music at the pool side reception last night.
Having a blast hosting Magic City Con this weekend!
