Solution Day is a concept aimed at students enrolled in a Master’s degree programme. The focus will be on supply chain management and operations management, and the participants will get the opportunity to apply theory to a practical case.
The theme of the day
At Novo Nordisk, 7 strategic manufacturing sites today serves 28 million patients in 170 countries around the world. The supply chain network is designed based on complex factors and trade-offs. In some cases products a...re produced in more cost-efficient countries further from markets, and in others it may be more feasible to produce closer to markets due to strategic, regulatory or cost reasons. With increasing future growth in emerging markets and a growing product portfolio, focus in Novo Nordisk is on optimizing the future manufacturing footprint to be ready to meet the fast-changing world of tomorrow. This is where you as case participant come into the picture. Your assignment will be to analyse the current state, understand the challenges of the future and design a solution that deals with these. You will get access to both qualitative and quantitative data and a chance to talk to both Novo Nordisk representatives and consultants from Implement Consulting Group.
