Writing workshop tomorrow at Ucheldre Holyhead. I'll be reading from the writings of Jean Rhys, James Baldwin, John Holt and writing from your truly. See you there.

Writing and Readings workshop at Ucheldre on the 17th August between 10 and 4. Memories and Reflections. cost £10.

It's a long time since I've written anything here. i'm still working hard on my writing. What seems like the endless correcting and editing is tedious in the extreme. I'm doing my first writing workshop in Holyhead - the Ucheldre in August.

I haven't worked out all my ideas yet but the broad theme is Memories and Reflections:writing about yourself -from yourself to yourself.

I'm also leading a workshop in Boston this October on " Race, Culture and Violence"...the prospect is all a bit scary. I haven't been in a plane for thirty years!

Thank you for giving it to me.
I’m now finished your book and I’m so impressed with it.

The way the novel is set out is fascinating, the circle of life fragmented and brought back together creates a unique avant garde style.

I’m reading Isabel’s book and I more than love it. There is a pureness about it that I find so refreshing. Have you ever thought of making it into a radio novel. Everything about the book, so far is full of images, history, psychology and incredible human feeling. The whole content read so far is an experience that would help many, many people through their changing moods and life’s experiences. Isabel, you have written a book that I will read over and over again. Thank you for giving it to me.

mo reviews:

I love it. It’s compelling. I’m trying to make it last as long as possible.

Amusing and profound. It brings back my own childhood – really good.

I love it. I’m making it last as long as I can. My husband’s nicked it.

Highly original. Unique. Want to read sentences twice. Poetic. Ideal bedtime reading. Really savouring it. Making it last as long as I can.

Here are a few reviews of my book. more later.

This book should be read at least twice. It is a Janus of black and white in its knowledge and struggle. Harper Lee once wrote ‘You will never understand a person until you climb into their skin.’ If you can’t or won’t do that, read this book, it will take you on a similar journey. Awesome. I like it all the way through. You ought to be very proud of yourself.

I've decided to promote my book on this page. My plan so far is to make some videos; that's me reading from my book, put up some reviews and other stuff which I can't think of at the moment. It's available on Lulu in a print and a download version.
