Climbers trekking across the Vallee Blanche close to the famous Aiguille Du Midi cable car at Chamonix. Out of all the images I captured during my weekend in the mountains, I think this image manages to capture the sheer scale the best.

La Jonction (The Junction) is one of the classic day treks of the Mont Blanc Massif and the Chamonix Valley. At the joining of the Bossons and Taconnaz Glaciers, La Jonction offers staggering views in every direction. A bloody tough trek but well worth it for sights like this!

The remote mountain grasslands of Golden Gate Highlands National Park make for a very peaceful place to relax. I could have sat and admired this view all day long.
