THREE Big announcements this week for the Olympia Pub Crawl!!
#1 - Here is our logo for this year!! Because it was SO popular last year we decided to go with s...ame logo/different color scheme to give a "Pub Crawl 12th Man Shout Out" to our Super Bowl Champs, the Seattle Seahawks! We hope you love it as much as we do!
Through Seattle Children's Hospital we have a great opportunity for our guild to earn $1500 for childhood cancer research and we could use your help! We need to go to the two Yakima Albertson stores and tag specific products with tags they have given us. We will be going Saturday morning at 7am and Monday morning at 7am. You do not have to be there at 7am - although we are hoping to be done within 3 hours at each store. We are going early so as to try and get it done prior to the store getting busy. A great way to give back and also do some community service with your children (if you want to bring them along). If you are interested, message me and I will give you more specific details.
Callie's Coffee (all profits benefit the Ben Towne Foundation) has some Easter goodies for those Easter baskets! If you are going to buy those Easter treats, why not support break-through children's cancer research/treatment at the same time?! http://choosecallies.com/shop/
We are very excited!!! The 6th Annual Oly Pub Crawl on August 9th has decided and announced that the $$ raised this year will go to the Jonaven Huck Punish Cancer Guild at Children's Hospital to help children with Neuroblastoma Cancer! So excited and thankful to the organizers for choosing our guild!
Imagine being able to drink your coffee every morning, knowing that while doing so you are helping to literally save the lives of children fighting against cancer? Callie's Coffee was started by a 7-year old girl who experienced the pain and heartbreak of losing a friend to neuroblastoma. 100% of profits from the sale of her coffee goes to support pediatric cancer research! What are you waiting for? Click below and join Callie's Circle today! Drink Coffee = PUNISH CANCER!!
It is not too late to donate and have us personalize a pennant to take to the top of Mt. Adams. It does not have to be for someone who has had cancer but can be for anyone! Maybe you want one for someone who has been encouraging or thoughtful or just someone that you love. Simply donate $25 to Seattle Children's Jonaven Huck Punish Cancer Guild and then let me know what you want on the pennant. Message us or email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This is really short notice, but Nick and Danae are planning on climbing Mt. Adams next Sunday, June 30th. We would love to use this opportunity to raise funds for the Jonaven Huck Punish Cancer Guild, which supports the I-131-MIBG machine used at Seattle Children's for treating relapsed and refractory neuroblastoma. It is in line to be front line treatment soon and we are thankful to be a part of this as our way of giving back and helping others. So - how can you help? G...lad you asked!
1) Climb with us!
We would love if anyone wanted to climb with us. It is actually more of a hike as there is no special equipment needed. It is a challenging hike, but not a technical climb. If you are interested then email me at: email@example.com or message me on facebook and we will get you the needed information.
You can make a direct donation by going to Seattle Children's Hospital website (http://www.seattlechildrens.org/ways-to-help/donate/). Just be sure to desigate "Jonaven Huck Punish Cancer Guild".
A $25 donation (see above web address) will buy a personalized pennant. You tell us who you would like to honor or remember and we will create a pennant for the person and take it to the top of the mountain with us! This was a really cool experience for us last year and we look forward to it again. It gives us motivation to keep pushing as we get tired along the way. Note, that it does not have to be someone with cancer to have their name on the pennant. Jonaven's sister asked us last year why Jonaven got a pennant and she didn't - and we realized that anyone (and everyone) should have a pennant! A great way to honor or remember someone, but also a great way to just join in the hike and reach the top without actually being there! After you donate, be sure to email me: firstname.lastname@example.org or message me and let me know who you whose name you would like to have written on the pennant. Maybe even be creative and write a message to someone through a pennant!!
We would love to have more join us in the climb, so do not hesitate if you think you might want to. Even if you do not make it to the top, it is a beautiful view. And - no worries about "being slow" - it is all in the experience.
Hope you can join us either by climbing with us, donating, or through a pennant!
A friend of ours who has relapsed from Neuroblastoma was not having success with chemo treatments. His family just found out that after his first MIBG therapy one of his tumors is gone and others are diminishing! We are so excited to be part of something that is helping these children! Please help support us by liking us and sharing our cause!
Don't make dinner Thursday night! Dinner has already been made for you!!
Put it on your calendars: May 17th from 5-8pm at Zillah Civic Center there will be a benefit dinner (spaghetti) for Benton's family. Benton is the local six yea...r old we were in treatment with for neuroblastoma who relapsed in March. They have to fly back and forth to San Francisco for treatment and both parents are required to be there. His dad is self-employed which means no income coming in during that time. Please come to enjoy dinner out for a good cause (no cooking for you!).
This is awesome! Why we love Seattle Children's Hem/Onc floor nurses!
Ten seconds of your time = $10 toward curing childhood cancer!
During the month of May, Pacific Advisors will donate $10 for every new "like" on their Facebook page to Ben Towne Foundation! For more information and to find out how Pacific Advisors will donate even more, check out the link below.
