Keli is great with young kids. She is teaching my granddaughter lessons. She is not only teaching her to ride but boosting her confidence in herself at the same time. Shortly I will be taking my horse... she will be riding down there for her to work with also! If you want a trainer that can keep young kids interested and enjoying learning then Keli is the one to go to. Thanks for all you do Keli! See More

We have taken 2 of our horses to Kelli and have been amazed at the progress they made. My mare was afraid of everything but Kelli worked with her and taught her not everything is going to eat her. She... is amazing now and I love to ride her and her getting past her fears makes me feel so much better for her. Our gelding we took is now an amazing little guy to ride. He now knows how to steer, stop back up and so much more. I live riding him when my husband doesn't and now hubby will be able to ride more with me. I am TOTALLY happy with Kelly's work with our guys. I have a colt now and when he's weaned he will be going to her for his groundwork and then for saddle breaking. Thanks for all the hard work you put into our guys Kelli your AMAZING! See More

Shot this video of Honey today just cruisin the barrels in both directions. She is more relaxed to the right barrel first in my opinion. Super sweet, rockin chair lope, love her; but no room at the inn (or money to buy her).

What a day! Got everyone fed, headed to Groves to renew my TWIC card. Now that TSA is running it instead of Homeland, had to bring in extra documents, ugh. Back home to look for said documents, can't local after 3 moves, so off the court house to get certified copies. Back to Groves to get my hair cut and back to TWIC office. Documents handed over and approved, so finger prints and pic done. Should have new card in 1 to 4 months, old one is good. So that's a plus. Stops at Dollar Store and the pharmacy, then back home to get horses & chickens tended. Groomed Star, blanketed everyone, gave Cisco his meds (COPD) and wait for Linda to arrive to work and ride Jackson. Linda got to work and ride Jackson for the first time today, he has been here for 22 days of training thus far and is doing exceptionally well for his age, formal training level.

Wow, what a day!
Started off slow, got Star Baby worked and figured I'd work on taxes till time for lessons. So did that, got sales contract done for the sale of Nocona, back outside to catch Nocona for Maia. Noticed Cherokee was running and kicking, just thought he was playing...WRONG! He was running and kicking out of pain/irriation. He came to the barn with his left side wet and muddy (like he rolled or fell), his left hip had whelps...and he began to stand funny and ...act like his hip was numb or hurt. I couldn't find any trigger points or source of his pain/irration. So called Delta Equine, thinking he hurt his back, pinched a nerve, etc. and needs adjusted by Doc Finley...Doc Appleton said to give him 10cc Dex IV and monitor for an hour (done). Finished riding lessons with Ashleigh and he wasn't any better, so loaded him up and headed to Vinton. Once at Delta Equine I shot this video while waiting for Doc Appleton. He was stumped at first, but concluded that he was having a bad allergic reaction to whatever he got into, most likely stinging grass.
Doc gave him a big IV dose of Bute, gave him an aloa vera bath and gave him some meds to take over the next 3 days. If you have stinging grass in your pastures, get rid of it asap...SEE COMMENTS FOR PICS OF STINGING GRASS!

We have had three Saturday's in a row with heavy rains. This Saturday only a few light showers are possible. Mild weather will persist into next week with our next big rain chance around Wednesday.

Ok folks, Moon will be a year old next month ( March 2018) & Nocona will be a year old in 2 months (April 2018)...both are for sale, both are registered Pintos, both are out of my stud (Cherokee, the sorrel horse in the pics) and both Microchipped. Doc will be out next week to freeze brand, vaccinate and draw coggins on them, then they will be ready to go to their new homes.
Both know their ground, stand tied, stand for grooming, will work with & without a saddle (No we are... NOT riding them, just working with kid saddle), both get hooves trimmed every 6 weeks, and are wormed every other month. They are both in your pocket horses, easy to catch, halter broke, leads with no problems. COMMENT OR MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION...

Hard to get any work done with all the rain, but was able to get a lesson in with Mason today. 😁
We worked on body and legs cues. He has a habit of getting heavy handed, snatchy and jerky with the reins. By putting eggs in his hands, Mason had to use his body and legs to steer, stop and control speed. He did a great job at getting his hands still and quiet and still steering and controlling Dakota. He wants to be a roper, he has to learn to use his legs and hands in different and separate tasks. 😍

Warmer temperatures are finally expected for the next few days. A cold front will be in our area Saturday with unfortunately more rain possible this weekend.

Posting for Austin Hight...
2012 APHA palomino mare has a good stocky build with good hard feet and a good hip, stands 15.1 weighs around 1050#. She's roped the Buford and has been logged some by me, not afraid of a rope. Previous owner has put her through the barrels, she's also drug some yearlings but she's not patterned in the barrels. She's green, needs more riding than I can give her, my work schedule does not allow me to ride her like she needs. She's got the tools and the grit, just needs someone to show her the way. She's NOT a kids horse. These papers will not work for your 8 year old. $3500, for more info contact Austin. 😍😮💙
