Mike is hands down a top notch rider coach/instructor. The basic rider course was an awesome experience. I learned a lot because of Mike and his attention to detail. Very happy I attended the basic ri...der course offered by KMD. Could not be any happier with what I achieved this weekend. And I owe it all to Mike. He’s legit an awesome guy all around. He really cares about his students and his work. I highly recommend KMD to anyone. I will be referring friends and family without a doubt. See More

Thank you to Gene for teaching the class Friday night. Special thanks to Chris and Norm for teaching me the basics on how to ride a motorcycle (I have no experience at all). I passed the course and ...now I will put what they taught me to good use as I practice to build up my confidence. They were extremely patient with us. A note to newbies (as especially to seasoned riders who want to go legit), as long as you listen and follow their instructions and suggestions, you will do great! Thanks again guys!!!!! See More

KMD Driving School is the best out there! This week is my last week at KMD and it has been AWESOME! I wanna give a special shout out to Mike, he made the class go by so quickly cracking his jokes etc,... he makes all of his students comfortable and he's beyond supportive, he always helped when I needed rides to class! Almost 2 weeks since Mike Perkins, the owner (ironically) of
** KMD Driving School ** forced me off the road because he was
too distracted to drive whilst holding his phone in front of his face text...ing,at the public school where kids are often walking. I'm in a lot of pain, going to Physical Therapy 3x per week, limping and hoping this former cop / chair of his town council / wanna-be state representative does the right thing. Thus far, his response was to give me the finger. See More

At 12:15 am I walked with my brother for the last time to send him off into the operating room to donate his organs and say "see you later, brother". This said,... a letter was written for the doctors to read aloud and know what a great man he was:

Well hello to all,
My name is Randall F. Perkins...Randy for short. Let me tell you who I am. I'm the oldest of 8 boys and 2 girls. I have 2 kids- a son & daughter. I am a lobsterman, a lover of family, hard work, and honest people. I was born in Sanford, Maine 62 years ago.
After high school I joined the Navy. After the Navy I spent time riding my Harley around with the Club. My love of the ocean drew me back to Blue Hill, Maine to settle down and become a lobsterman in Brooklyn, ME. I put out 800 traps every year as you can tell by my smooth and soft hands. I have lived "off the grid" with my best friend "Gus", a 160 pound Rotti. I loved to eat, I loved to help everyone, I loved the wind in my face, the smell of the ocean and a cold beer. I loved to cut wood and see the pile grow. A days work was JUST that, "A good days work". Family and friends were the most important thing to me. Some of my favorite quotes..."Giddy up", "We got shit to do". And now you know more about me and who I was.

Repeated from nephew Jake:
"Tell the truth, work from your heart, the rest will fall into place."
-Uncle Randy

Words from the siblings:
Randy loved us all so BIG. Like everything in his life...big dog, big boat, big truck, big long driveway, big lobsters, big meals, big hands, and big hugs.
A true giant of life!
Still helping someone in need.
God speed, Randy.

I'll miss you Randy...my big brother and my best friend.

We would like to announce our great sadness of the passing of our friend and co-worker Noel (Joey) Bard. He will be sadly missed by all of us here. In lieu of flowers. Please send donations to wheelers funeral home. Joeys 2 year battle was costly and the family would appreciate it. RIP ,Joey
