Successfully completed our life's most difficult, dangerous and toughest trek ever. The expedition 'EBC-2016' comprising 4 Spanish and 2 Indians reached "Mount Everest Base Camp" (5,364 mts)on 17th December after trekking on foot for 7 days from Lukla (2,840 mts) to Phakding (2,...610 mts)to Namche Bazaar (3,440 mts) to Tengboche (3,860 mts)to Dingboche (4,410 mts)to Lobuche (4,910 mts)to Gorak Shep (5,140 mts). On the way we crossed Dughla (Thukla)pass (4,830 mts) Lobuche pass (5,110 mts) and made very steep climbs of Namche Bazaar (2,740-3,440 mts), Tengboche (3,250-3,860 mts), Dingboche (4,192-4,410 mts) and Lobuche (4,620-4,910 mts). We crossed Thado Koshi, Dudh Koshi, Monjo Khola and Imja Khola rivers including the highest, longest and most beautiful Larja bridge just prior to Namche Bazaar. Just after negotiating the Dughla pass we crossed the most famous 'Khumbu Glacier' which houses the EBC ( Everest Base Camp). On 18th Scaled the much awaited 'Kala Pathhar' (5,550 mts) followed by a most dangerous and life threatening Chopper ride back to Lukla which almost killed all 6 of us trekkers and the Pilot, but for the skills of the Pilot we reached safely. Ultimately resulting in Bada Khana of Rice, Chicken curry and the famous Nepali 'Khukri' Rum and Spanish Mithai.

Sunil Choudhry, Tinoo Dhillon Kazi, Dr. Anil Gulati and Rajan Madan, all of 1973 batch met by chance at New York a few days back. They were seeing each other after 43 years and could still recognise each other though they have all matured in age. This is the best part of belonging to the same Alma Mater and having spent quality time growing up together in school.
