In 1985, I started anchoring News 8 at 6 with Dick Hoxworth. We used to travel to New York City for promotional shoots with Tom Brokaw. I came across this picture and thought you might get a kick out of it!

How about a LIKE for Summer as she finds herself in medal contention. The medal round will stream live on NBCOlympics.com starting Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m.

Hope you enjoyed our first Olympic Zone last night! I anchored with Mike Straub - News 8, but will be joined in the coming weeks by Jere Gish - WGAL News 8. It's a great way to ready for prime time coverage. Here's another "behind-the-scenes shots" of what I see while we are doing the show. Opening ceremonies tonight at 8 P.M. here on WGAL!

Look! It is a bouquet of Mini-Goldendoodles! This scene greeted me this morning when I walked into Luxe Salon & Spa - Lancaster . Aren't they adorable? I must give a shout-out to the excellence of Team LUXE. With a broken wrist, I cannot shower, and these talented professionals get my hair "air ready" every day. Thank you Ladies of LUXE!

Hey Eagles fans - how does it feel!!!??? #FlyEaglesFly

We are all SO excited to bring you the Super Bowl on Sunday night at 6:30! We had a Super Bowl party this afternoon here at WGAL complete with wings and popcorn. Here is a picture of our Creative Services Director Liz Montijo... she may be our biggest Eagles fan. Anne Shannon - WGAL News 8 also took a break to enjoy the fun. What will you be serving at your party?

Here you go... as promised! Eagles green nails to match my black "NEWS CAST." Thank you Karen Cline Miller for your excellent suggestion. Excuse my pudgy black and blue fingers. They are still swollen from the wrist fracture. Fly, Eagles, fly! You can watch the Super Bowl right here on WGAL, 6:30 P.M. Sunday.

News 8 photographer Leslie Shrader took this stunning picture of a rainbow above the Susquehanna River. I loved it so much... I had to share it with you.

You will probably notice a new "accessory" on the news set tonight. About a week ago, I slammed ferociously into a glass wall inside a Lancaster County restaurant. I got up to "dash" to the ladies room during a dinner party and never saw it coming! (Think mourning dove into the windowpane.) My left wrist is broken. I'm just grateful it wasn't my face or my writing hand. Have you ever done something like this? I am still in disbelief about it. Staying positive and reminding myself : This too shall pass. Do you like the black cast?

This is the face of a hero. Deputy U.S. Marshal Christopher Hill was gunned down yesterday while serving a warrant in Harrisburg. The Department of Justice released this official photograph a few minutes ago. Marshal Hill was a 45-year-old father with two children and a wife. His fellow law enforcers say he was "the cream of the crop" and a decorated veteran. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who serve and protect. May he rest in peace... with our thanks.
