Fran O'Rourke did a wonderful job today teaching us how to make lavender wands. We watched, we tried, we complained, we laughed, and we LEARNED!

Hi! I'm Paul, the owner of Kokanee Chalets. The weather is awesome here and we don't have any forest fires locally! The air is clear and the sun is shining.

We... are encouraging everyone to practice fire awareness as it is dry season. No campfires! (But you can use propane fire bowls) No cigarette butts on the ground!

Stone Cold Ice Cream is a destination ice cream shop, and I appreciate it even more because I can get away from the dust and noise of town. When we arrive, the ...grass is freshly cut and the little yellow park benches under the shade of umbrellas seem like the perfect place to write as the two teenagers head up the short path to the bench that overlooks the surrounding area.
