A recent, unsolicited analysis of L/D's music by "industry suits" indicates that our tunes seem to be influenced by Brian Eno, Scott Walker, Burt Bacharach, The Smiths, Pizzicato Five and...Vampire Weekend. Vampire Weekend? WTF?
Well, after dropping to No. 18 from No.6 last week, "The Dangerous Time" has just shot back up to No. 5 in the MWR int'l. top 20 chart. It apparently takes a boatload of votes to break the top 5, so this is pretty cool. Again, thanx for casting yours. According to the DJ, "listeners are realizing how great a song this really is". Ed's latest creations are up through 4/20 in Wllsmbrg, Bkln.
Here is a new piece that debuted at the super fun show last week at the Firehouse space in Brooklyn. It is called the Magnetic Whirl. It has a variable speed motor that spins glass balls around to hit metal objects that are held to the stee...l plates by magnets. It is infinitely variable and always sounds different. each metal part makes a unique sound depending how it is placed and hit. The show will be up for a few weeks more. http://thefirehousespace.org/

The show opening last week was a blast! Thanks to all the musicians who performed and everyone for coming out to Roxbury to see and hear all the instruments. We had a fantastic time! If you are in the area stop by. Info below. We are seeing... if we can schedule another performance soon.

The Orphic Gallery is located at the Roxbury Corner Store at 53525 State Highway 30, Roxbury,
NY, at the corner of Main and Bridge Streets. The exhibit will continue through August 25,
2013 and be open to the public during the gallery’s normal business hours, Wednesday through

I will be showing instruments and sculpture, from '80s vintage handmade synths to brand new ele...ctric berimbaus.

A performance with very special guests will cap off the opening on July 5th.
