University Event: Is Islam the underlying cause of Extremism?
The event organisers originally invited Ann Marie-Waters and Maryam Namazie to come to this event ...and debate against me and another Muslim speaker. Ann Marie didn't want to go it alone and Namazie apparently wanted to change the title to 'Islamism' as their conditions. Why Maryam? Have you not said for years that Islam and its Shariah are the causes of the problems of extremism (and are extreme in of themselves)? Shall we take that as you've changed your mind, and agree that Islam ISN'T the underlying cause of Extremism? Will you now recant all your years worth of Islamophobic comments expressing such sentiments? Or is there some other agenda at work?
Anyhow, now that both are not coming to the event, the event is just a lecture. However, if they'd ever change their mind, I'd welcome them attending...
