We live in New Braunfels and although it is a beautiful city, the city managers do a horrible job at making the city more conducive for guests and residents. They really do not like tourists and make impossible for anyone to find parking. Landa park is a nightmare. You will not find parking at the pool or park so dont bother going. The new parks are just as bad. We have a new park at Old McQueeney Rd and County Line Rd where the hill was full of trees before the park was built. They cut down every tree and planted about 30 small trees that will take years to grow. Its a barren waste land now. No wildlife and no shade. Plus of course, there is not enough parking. There are plenty of open fields, especially by the toob shoot, that could be made into a parking lot however they refuse to do it. A long time ago, this area and many others throughout the city had open parking which decreased the people traffic on the Comal and Guadalupe river. Now there are only a few parking lots and they are always full. This causes everyone to enter the river at only a few locations and causes large crowds. Lots of people drown because of this. The street traffic is unbearable. The city invested millions in redoing Walnut road due to the traffic but instead they spent the money on another useless park right on Walnut that no one can access because you guessed it, no parking. Its right next to the busy street filled with traffic so your kids can run out into the middle if the street. There is no place for sports however there are some nice benches facing the road so you can enjoy the view of traffic and sweet smell of exhaust. I would not recommend New Braunfels as a place for anyone to vacation unless you want to be seriously stressed out and very angry during your vacation. See More

The free AC bus back to our cars was what sold me. Not to mention if you enter the river here as soon as they open, you end up getting about 30 minutes of the river to yourself before others enter fro...m the 2nd entryway. Very quiet, nobody else to bump into or no noise from people's radio or conversations. Best entry spot very! Will return here! See More

Took all the complication out of the experience. The perfect spot to enter for the longest ride. Reasonable pricing (only $10 with your own float and $20 if you rent one), great service, easy to find,... easy (free) parking that isnt miles away from the entrance, even the bus driver was funny and kept us entertained on the way back, waited for us to walk up to the bus when he saw our yellow floats, ushered us in, and found space to let everyone on. There's no reason to use any other service on the comal. OH, and its right at the front of the park, so theres even a giant spring fed pool and kids area just next door so you can take the kids to play before you go down the river. Great experience overall! See More

First time, like the ride down the river. It was long. I did enjoyed it. The only two things I didn't like were the fact that we were not told about the drops, the exit of the river smell nasty and it... is nasty. I did like the service the employees were courteous and the ride back was fast and very well time. See More

Absolutely the only place I'll ever use to float the Comal! You never have to wait on a bus, and the staff is friendly and helpful! Plus parking is free, and they pick up from the exit a lot later tha...n most other companys.
We used another company the day before and we not only had to wait 30 minutes to leave the parking lot on a hot bus, we also had to wait standing for 30 minutes in the blazing heat to get picked up. All the while watching the Landa pick up constantly. We decided to try Landa the next day.. and it was a perfect experience. Plus of you don't use landa, you miss out on quite a bit of extra river to float.

You can't start any further up on the river than this place! The staff was courteous & helpful. We went on a weekday which was less crowded & paid what we have paid at other locations however we were to go unlimited times with shuttle service. You have to walk a little to get to the shuttle however the shuttle is air conditioned and doesn't have that funk smell like others do. Everyone in the group has decided this is our place from now on. See More

If your going to use a company this would be the place to use because it's the longest tube rental in the Comal however once your well on your way there is no control over the people around you and th...e foul language and drinking that takes place. See More

My iPhone (in a waterproof case) is somewhere at the bottom of this river, but it sure was worth it! Can't wait till it warms back up, so we can do it again!

Had a great time. Just be prepared to lose those in your party now and then. Have a contingency plan so nobody freaks out. And, FOR SURE, make arrangements at the top for your return trip once you the bottom. See More
