Interested in learning more about transferring to Oakland University? On Wednesday, July 12 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., transfer students are welcomed to the Oakland University campus for our Transfer Student Open House. Transfer students can receive an immediate admission decision, credit evaluation and learn about orientation. Oakland University staff will be available to answer questions about general education requirements, transfer credit procedures, and financial aid.

They ar...e also offering a Transfer Tuesday event on Tuesday, July 25 where prospective students will be able to meet with an admissions adviser for an admissions decision and get an evaluation of credits completed while you wait! This program is by appointment only and students should bring two copies of their transcripts.

Next week on December 6 and 7, several advisors will be participating in the S.E.W. project. S.E.W. stands for Student Empowerment Week. LCC MAHE faculty are using this time to empower students so that they are successful during the last two weeks of the semester and particularly during Finals. Not only will Advisors be there, but also teaching faculty, sign-language interpreters, and librarians. There will be coaching help with reading, writing, research, science, and math. The event will be from 5 pm - 10 pm in GB 244. Free Pizza and Beverages will be available. Stop in!

Ana and Eva, Advisors Extraordinaire, will be available Thursday, September 22, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in front of the Starzone to answer any questions you may have. Look for the Ask An Advisor banner on Thursday!
