Written and recorded under the capricorn this track is sounds like Billy Gibbons and the Kinks having a midwinter solstice jam. This great photo by Johan Sandén was a perfect fit with the mood of the song. Special thanks also goes to Natte Wittick for letting me borrow his Les Paul for the recording.

"Gesture of Banishing"
(karana) also called the "The Gesture Warding off Evil", this mudra indicates with the hand stretched out, either horizontally or vertically, palm turned forward. The thumb presses down the middle two fingers (like the horns of a Yak against an enemy), while the index and little fingers extend straight upwards. You can find abhayamudrâ sometimes also as a left-hand gesture. "
This dark and introspective trackis one of three new songs written after purchasing a danelctro dead on 67 electric guitar this summer. Literally took matters in my own hands, out of sheer frustration from being so far away from my partners in crime Anders and Jon. Weird and refreshing to write songs based on guitar parts instead of building from basslines and drum beats.
Riffs that started appearing during intense reading of carlos castaneda's first books finally turned into the second song we ever recorded in my tiny home studio. I actually had a video in my head for this song ever before it was finished, too weird to describe but maybe one day. Finally mixed this thing and moving on to new material.
At least 10 year old demo, with crusty sound quality and some misstakes, but it still puts a smile on my face everytime I hear it.
Åtminstone 10 år gammal demo med dålig ljudkvalité och flera misstag, men blir fortfarande på bra humör varje gång jag hör den.
