Did someone say DUET!!!!? Check out this really cool duet of Tal Cohen (piano) and myself playing Cole Porter's "What is this thing called love?" at the Jazz FM station. What a great way to cap off our mini European trip.
Thanks to the Chris and Ruth. This was fun!

Jazz FM is with Tal Cohen and 4 others.

Trini-born Miami-based Steel Pan player Leon "Foster" Thomas made a welcome return to the UK with a sell-out night of breathless virtuosity at London's Jazz@Piz...zaExpress on August 3rd.

Leon is the go-to guy for his instrument in the U.S and recently released a superb album called 'Metamorphosis.' Leon is steadily building a reputation for pushing the instrument into new territories.

His band included acclaimed pianist Tal Cohen. Following on from Leon's earlier solo session the pair came into Jazz FM for a duo session after the gig and performed an arrangement of 'What Is This Thing Called Love.'

Delray Newspaper was live.

It's the first episode of Delray Morning Live with Kate and Ryan in 2017! And it was a great one! Ryan shared two exciting announements. The first is A Communit...y Conversation with Better Boulder on January 31st. Boulder, Colorado is considred one of the most exciting and attractive cities in America and serves as a model for other small cities that care about its history, present day quality of life and future sustainability. Three leaders from Better Boulder, which has sparked a national movement of cities seeking a better path for the future, will be in Delray Beach for an important community conversation. We encourage everyone to come out to this event.

Ryan also announced that Woo Creative and the The KTCHN - Creative Coworking space will be transformed into an art gallery on Saturday, January 28th. Over 10 artists, mostly from the Miami Wynwood Art District, will be showcasing their work. We invitre the community to stop by and enjoy this unique experience.

We also had two amazing guests on the show. Dr. Craig Spodak talked about the unique ways he has developed his practice Spodak Dental Group. He also discussed the creation of his nonprofit organization All-Star Smiles Foundation along side Miami Marlins superstar Giancarlo Stanton. Lastly, he opened up about his transformational experience spending time with Richard Branson on Necker Island, Branson's private island. He learned a lot about leadership and being humble. He shared some incredible stories so check it out.

We also chatted with Julius, Founder of Nerd Alert. He talked about his entrepreneurial journey, why he loves doing business in Delray Beach and shared some business advice to remember as you continue to grow.

What are you up to this weekend? There's always lots to do in Delray Beach. Join the Old School Square Cornell Art Museum for their First Friday Art Walk. And check out the Arts Garage for some incredible upcoming performances including Leon “Foster” Thomas Quintet which will take place on Friday, January 13th at 8pm. The Steel Pan Master and his band will captivate the audience with their contemporary jazz style. There's still time to take advantage of Delray Beach Green Market which is open from 9am-2pm on Saturday and you can head over to Artists in the Park at Vetertans Park Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 4:30pm.
