Great Job Russ!!! Good job by all!!
As I was walking out the door to go home I heard a call come over the scanner of a dog hit by a car and trapped under it. It was on Main Street near the inters...ection of Frye where I had a traumatic experience with a car accident a little over a year ago so I was a little sketched out but the news hound in me took over and I had to check it out. The dog had broken free from his leash and bolted, eventually darting across Main Street into the path of an unsuspecting driver who was visibly shaken up. After several bystanders pulled over and offered their car jacks, LPD wisely waited for the professionals to arrive and within a minute LFD did their magic and gingerly raised the car and LPD's "cat man" James Avery coaxed Rico out and he calmly walked away to Avery's cruiser to go get checked out at the local animal hospital. A great ending to a long week that just doesn't want to end. Time for me to head out to walk my four legged girlfriend.
