Just an update on what the Lord is doing at Liberty Baptist Church. We are coming along in our repairs, we hoped to be back in our sanctuary by Easter Sunday and we still may be, but we have a few more major repairs to go in the upcoming weeks and appreciate your prayers. Liberty would like to thank all those who have been concerned & prayed for us, the churches (our sisters and brothers) in the laurel river association that have given a gift and our church members who have p...ut in many hours of labor to get us back up and running. Our new furnaces have been delivered and the men at Leo Jones are preparing to hook them up. We have been blessed by the outpouring love and prayers that we have received. We pray that all we do bring glory & honor to our Lord Jesus Christ and his name be exalted even through this. We are enjoying our services in the Basement and would like to invite each and every one to come experience them with us. God is doing great things, because He is always good!! God Bless You all!
Looking for a Church? At Liberty Our Focus is...LOVE, GROW, SERVE, and GO ( #1.LOVE: 'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'") ( #2 GROW: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his peopl...e to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17) # 3 SERVE " For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. #4 GO " Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 19-20 (We would love for you to come be a part of our journey!
Is Jesus your everything? There is no experiencing real life until you get the life of Christ inside you, then you can truly live! (The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. John 10;10) There is a big difference in just surviving day to day and truly living life. Get Jesus= Get Life
Come be part of our family today.. Sunday school begins at 10 am and our morning service begins at 11 am. ( "We love because He first loved us" 1 John 4:19 ) and that love will keep us together
We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us.. 1 John 3:16...(It is impossible for us to experience true love, without experiencing the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ)
Restoration has begun at Liberty and we are coming along, it is very labor intensive but we are beginning to see some progress and we are thankful. Sometimes when we find ourselves in seasons of exhaustion we can almost hear our Savior say "Come to Me and rest" It's not always a physical exhaustion we find ourselves in, most times its the mental and spiritual exhaustion. Are you tired today? Do you feel that your going through this life alone and the battles just keep coming... and they are getting harder to fight or you just can't fight anymore? We have a helper friend, one to fight for us and we have a strong tower to run to and His name is JESUS!
Matthew 11;28 tells us "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden (Burdened by troubles), and I will give you rest. take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” We can truly find the rest and peace in Jesus if we will just go to Him. He is waiting with open arms. Come be with us today at Liberty on old somerset road, (services are at 10 am and 11 am, this evening at 6 pm) We will be meeting in the basement a little while longer but its clean, warm and dry At Liberty we will cry with you, pray with you or just hug on you. We all get tired and weary friend, but our Lord will help us through it every time!
At the end of last week we had a little setback at Liberty, a furnace problem that made a mess in our sanctuary and in many other areas in the church building. What satan meant for evil the Lord can make good of, so yesterday we took our services to the basement where smoke damage was minimal. The Lord was amidst his people, and we worshiped His high & holy name despite of what satan tried to accomplish in our church building. One of the reasons I love the book of Psalms is b...ecause even in the midst of spiritual warfare, trials and persecution, David always sung praises unto the Lord.
James 1:2-3 says "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. "
How many of us welcomes trials and counts them as pure joy? Trials hurt don't they? but they also prepare us. Trials produce perseverance which leads to maturity which ends in growth in Christ and with each other. When things are going great we should praise Him, when things are gloomy or sad we should praise Him, when disaster occurs we should praise Him. In all things we choose to praise Him.
Pray for us in the days ahead as we attempt to clean up the mess and repair the furnace. In the meantime we want to invite you to our services we are holding downstairs, they will go down in history as some of the best Liberty has ever had. Why? because instead of pouting we will praise our Lord Jesus Christ and instead of whining we choose to worship Him.. He remains God through all things, let us praise Him because He is worthy of our worship and our praise.🙌🙌🙌
This my friends is why you need to be in constant prayer & fellowship with your brothers & sister's in Christ and be active in the local church. We need each other to keep satan from being free to work as he desires. Support your local church by staying connected in fellowship with one another, being that part of the strand that strengthens, supports and conquer's. If you are not currently a part of a church fellowship, We invite you to come be a part of our Family at Liberty Baptist.
