ICYMI: The Central Virginian ran a story on our local baseball legends, Coach Bradford and Coach Pelot!
These two men have had a positive impact on many people throughout the years. We are glad to honor them!
Today, our LCHS students, staff, and administration came together in a peaceful manner inside the school in an effort to promote unity, respect, and awareness to enhance school safety.
During today’s sessions, the students debuted a video they wrote, produced, and edited together. It was a powerful moment. The video led up to lessons on school safety, which were provided by Sgt. Robert Sarnoski, LCHS principal Lee Downey, and LCHS assistant principal Shaun Woody.
As a school ...division, we are extremely thankful for the level of respect and care our students have for one another. We are not a perfect school division, but our students, staff, and administration work hard together to set a great example.
Thank you, students and staff.
LCHS student Adrienne Badgett recently won first place in the Virginia School Board Association's Spring Art Contest!
Her winning entry was a painting called "Kayden Grace," in a tribute to her younger sister. It is a fantastic piece of art!
Mr. Straley broke out his refereeing uniform and his jump shot for this week's #TeamLCPS MVP Awards! We also made history with an MVP presentation over Facetime!
You don't want to miss this week's episode!
This photo right here is what #TeamLCPS is all about.
A few months ago, Louisa Career & Technical Education partnered with a non-profit called “Giving Words.” The group helps struggling mothers who need assistance.
This mother, Monica, needed help after her van broke down. Our LCPS CTE’s Automotive Tech Class worked for several months to completely rebuild a Jeep donated by Giving Words. Today, we were able to present Monica, and her very excited son Brendon, with the keys to... their new vehicle.
Her smile says it all.
We have a great community. Thank you, Monica, for allowing us to help you out.
We are #TeamLCPS, and we are one of a kind.
If you love animals, you do NOT want to miss "Our World Family Night 2018"
The event is FREE.
Children's books at the event are FREE.
Dinner and Childcare is FREE.
Mark your calendar NOW! Thursday, March 22nd from 5-7:30 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School!
Sage Publishing, one of the world’s leading independent academic and professional publishers, spent the past two days filming at LCPS!
Why? Because Dr. John Almarode, JMU’s Associate Professor of Education, recommended that LCPS mathematics teachers be featured in Sage’s learning resource videos!
That means videos featuring LCPS teachers will soon be used to assist teachers across the country!...
We are so proud of our staff and students here at LCPS. Great things are happening!
Today kicks off National School Breakfast Week!
To celebrate, we want to re-introduce you to our Breakfast in the Classroom program. This affordable program is available to ALL elementary students. It can be a great time-saver for all of you parents out there! If you know someone who could possibly benefit from this program, spread the word!
Have a great week! We are #TeamLCPS!...
