       Here's the first song by my new band. "What?! Another band?" I hear you say. Well, yes and no, It's the same collaborative team which brought you We Know, Plato! and Make Phantoms. This time however, we are back with a more carefree and upbeat approach to making music and with a bit of a different musical direction/sound. Enjoy and share/spread the word if you like it.

       Well, by hands of the iTunes gods, I have been re-introduced to my own co-creation, along with bandmates/collaborators Ben and Andy. The three of us put a great deal of time, love and passion into this debut album that I know Ben and I felt was going to be a success, yet it barely did anything more than collect dust. Looking back, I can sort of see why no one really cared and why it didn't make any sort of impact or even a dent. It's an album focusing less on commercial success and more on art. I don't feel it's instantly accessible as a commercial album but rather one of those albums you have to listen to many times to really get it and get lost in it and unfortunately, some just didn't get it. It's probably the most demanding creation of which I've been a part, to date. In the end, it frayed nerves, friendships and even sanity to a degree. When it was all over it had sent me, my emotions and my confidence in a downward spiral of sorts. I'm really not sure what happened and couldn't put my finger on it if I wanted (which I don't). I was just a depressed and miserable soul for a good while afterwards and I was unable to listen to this album for almost two years after we finished it. In fact, the state I was in almost prevented the follow-up EP, "Solitary" from getting finished and released, but thankfully it did. Now things are brighter and I can look back with only fondness and joy. And my God this album has some of the most amazing music, lyrics and arrangements, IMO! It's an accomplishment for which I'm most proud for the part I played in it's creation. At the start of writing for this album back in the Spring of 2009, Ben and I were in top form and we had lots of fun, lots of laughs and it was great. We were excited about it and I feel that comes through in the songs. The future was bright and we were ready to make it ours. If any of you are at all interested in the music I create and have yet to hear this, please, I urge you to have a listen. It's a home-grown masterpiece. I sincerely want to thank Andy and even more importantly, Ben for the collective/collaborative effort that is Make Phantoms, for this album was a true collaboration by the three of us in every sense and it shows! http://open.spotify.com/album/1esIQstP5Cb7sDFmX9ymPz

    I'd like to thank the handful who have chimed in on the songs. We greatly apprentice it and we hope you like your the bonus free demo you received.
    We'd also love to hear your thoughts on the other non-Christmas songs we put out there. After all, those songs are 100% our creations, unlike the Christmas songs. To hear feedback on those as well would be amazing. Regardless, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and for sharing the songs with others, keep it up. It helps us more than you may know.
