These are the students whose art work was selected out of over 750 students for exhibition at ArtFields in Lake City, SC from April 20-28, 2018. They are, from left to right:
Bottom Row: Preslee Frye, Maria Giugliano, Cameron Morris
Top Row: Mya Hayes, Caroline Johnson, Danielle Brackett
These are all students from 8th grade Honors Art in Ms. Collins' and Mrs. Maddox's classes at MGMS. Both Honors Art classes will be taking a field trip to ArtFields on Friday, April 20th to see the work on display.
ArtFields was started in 2013 by Darla Moore and is growing to be one of the most prominent exhibitions and competitions in the SouthEastern United States. Artwork is displayed throughout the town in restaurants, boutiques, warehouses & galleries in an effort to combine art and community.

Our spring Scholastic Book Fair will be in the Learning Commons from April 9th to April 13th (the week after Spring Break). Stop by the Learning Commons from 7:35 to 4:00 to shop for some great books of all ages or shop our online fair at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/meadowglenmiddleschool1 from April 4-17th. Because our theme is pets, we will have a donations drive to help a local shelter and rehabilitation center. Here is link to what students can bring to the Learning Commons to help our furry friends in need: https://sites.google.com/site/mgmlearningcommons/

We heard a student say, “I know it was a game but those questions seemed real life and it was awesome.“ Authentic learning gives students purpose for geometry. #breakoutEDU @ELeducation https://t.co/FlL3m8mXqT
