Seems to me that the coverage of sexual harassment is designed to erase the concept of due process, innocent until proven guilty, the need for evidence, etc. Maybe not in the legal arena yet, but it's a way to make inroads into fundamentally changing our legal architecture like Chertoff, for example, has called for. contacting United States House of Representatives.Today, the so-called USA LIBERTY Act passed the House Judiciary Committee by a vote of 27-8. The bill allows the government to search our private data without a... warrant—in violation of the #4thAmendment. It’s another bill, like the USA FREEDOM Act, that furthers violations of our rights under the guise of protecting our rights.
My colleagues Rep. Ted Poe and Representative Zoe Lofgren offered an amendment to the unconstitutional #LibertyAct. Their amendment would have protected our rights under the #4thAmendment, but Republicans and Democrats teamed up to stop them.
The fight now heads to the House floor. Members of the House Liberty Caucus and House Freedom Caucus will do everything in our power to defend our Constitution. You can make a difference by contacting your representative in Congress to let him or her know how you feel about the #LibertyAct and other schemes that abridge your liberty and your privacy.
