I love Moods for pick your own..not fan of the hay rides. Slightly pricey in my opinion. I prefer Duffield for the hay rides nonpickers pay a different fee and the pumpkins were larger. I was extremel...y disappointed with my experience for the pumpkin hay ride. I will stick to just getting all the wonderful fruit they have with pick your own and save the hay rides for a different farm.. See More

My family and I go there every year to pick apples in the fall. We get their apple cider and their apple cider doughnuts everytime, though they never make it quite to the house . Their apples make ...the best pies and the kids love picking the apples to bake them that day. It's a great family tradition that my whole family and I look forward to every year! See More

Do you need apples for your Thanksgiving pie? We got 'em. Did you misplace Grandma's secret recipe? Look what I found. Do you need help eating that delicious pie? Yes, I can even help with that too.

3½ cups apples, sliced...
1 cup water
1½ cups sugar, divided
1 stick butter or margarine
½ cup light brown sugar
½ cup flour

Bring to boil apples, water, and 1 cup sugar. Do not stir. Cover and remove from heat. Make a pie shell to fit 10 inch plate. In a bowl, mix margarine, ½ cup sugar, brown sugar, and flour until it is crumbly.

Put cooked apples and as much syrup as crust will hold into pie shell. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Put crumbs on top of apples. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
