Chris helped me with my leash reactive dog - understanding that I was anticipating, over correcting and not providing enough praise. Since we've implemented our new techniques...we have improved so w...e can successfully pass dogs 90% of the time without drama. And now we are working on hanging out without reacting while dogs are barking at us behind their fence and he is doing amazing. Thank you Chris! See More

Just had a fantastic lesson with Chris and our pack of 4. The training was more for us than the dogs as it improved our ability to effectively speak their language. We all noticed a marked improvement... from the start to the end of the lesson. Chris has given us a great framework from which to build on in the future. Thanks a million and we look forward to seeing you up here again next year. See More

Chris is a natural with creating harmoney and balance in your relatonship with your dog. I am not a dog owner, but experienced his talent for 3 months togheter with my partner working on The property'...s vegetation... We learned heaps in our free time about dog behavior! Never thought that all those little details tell you how The dog feels And how to correct And reward on these... To get The behavior That you want.... Cheers & thanks for everything! See More

Murph being Murph and backing in to get the stick! :D This was shot near Dubbo where we stopped for the night on our way to start our Melbourne to Cairns dog training tour. Murph just had to show off and get in for a swim his own way. Watch and find out :)

Eliza Ryan to Kelpie Rosie’s Weather Warning

ROSIE’S LEGACY
[31.3.16 - 30.12.16]

Rosie died in December 2016 from over heating whilst playing ball. She was a healthy 9 month old kelpie pup and died becaus...e she was exercised in the evening just after 5pm on a 34 degree day with high humidity (54%) - a lethal combination.

Rose was only playing for 10-15 minutes before she crashed to the ground whilst chasing the ball and went into seizures and within an hour of making it to the vet she died. The tragedy is that it was all preventable.

There were no symptoms. However l didn’t allow her to stop & rest in between throwing a ball as far as l could in an open space with no shade. I didn’t take water out with us. She had no chance.

I’m sharing this to educate owners on heat stress as it does kill.

A dogs resting body temperature is between 38/39 degrees. If it reaches 41 degrees it will be fatal.

I urge dog owners to not exercise their pets on warm days. Playing ball or exercising a dog on days above 30 degrees is dangerous.

Let a dog play in a pool or in the sea on a hot day. Never feel guilty for not exercising a working dog if it’s a warm day. We are their protectors & it’s our responsibility to keep them safe. I have heard people say but my dog was born in a hot climate so they are climatised. This is absolute nonsense. A dogs core temperature should be kept around 38/39 degrees. Make sure they have a cool place to rest and escape the heat if you live in a hot climate.

I hope by sharing Rosie’s story l can help educate dog owners on how quickly heat stress can happen.

Help Rose raise awareness on Heat Stress by sharing this important message.

❤️ A share could possibly save a life. ❤️

Rama teaching German Shepard puppy dog body language and not to come in so excited and to come in more respectful by giving him corrections first visually then ...vocally then physically This is a very common problem which can lead to bigger problems in the future if you do not take control the on lead introductions

Does your dog pull on the lead?? It's easy to fix!
Set up your boundary and go from there.

Watch the video below with how quickly Bain the German Shepherd lea...rns from Chris and his body language about where the boundary is and how he should be walking WITH Chris, not in-front of him.
You can learn these methods from the training video at:

Going to the beach this weekend? Have a go at foiling: It's like wakeboarding but faster, smoother, and closer to flying.
