We recently took the Haunted Pub Crawl with Amada and had a super time. She has so much information in her head over and above the haunted pubs that we went to. We will definitely book another tour w...hen we are in NYC next time. Thanks, Amada, for all your knowledge and the fun evening. See More

I have to admit, I'm somewhat of a theatre "know it all," especially when it comes to "Rent." It was SO refreshing that Mike, my guide, did not try to outdo me, which made me not try to outdo HIM (som...ething I'm trying to control). The whole trip seemed more like a conversation between theatre lovers! I'm directing the show at a high school in California in the fall, so it's wonderful to have tidbits to share with my cast and crew. One of the best things was having Mike stop me at amazing photo stops along the way to get "authentic" pictures for the slideshows I'm using in our production. I also loved that, although we were done in about an hour, Mike didn't try to stretch it out to two hours just because that's how the tour was billed and what I "paid for." I, personally, did not pay for an amount of time, but for an experience. Any longer would have been overkill and filler. Mike had it timed to perfection. I will definitely recommend this tour to others (and probably bring my senior class here on their senior trip this year). I'm also very interested in some of the other tours he described for my future return trips! See More

I went to NY with my Tampa theatre group and we went on the "Inspiration of RENT" tour last Friday, and it was amazing!! As someone who has had RENT have a huge impact in their life, it was incredible... to see the exact places and learn about the moments that inspired the incomparable Jonathon to create this masterpiece. And as just a theatre and musical lover, it's an amazing time to just immerse yourself in New York and get a feel for what it's like to be an artist in East Village. Amada was an amazing tour guide and totally embraced and entertained me and my friends! It barely felt like a tour and more like a group of friends walking around town and learning. I loved her!! Thank you for an awesome experience! See More

Full circle moment for Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein as his debut smash hit Torch Song on Broadway makes it's way back to where it all started on the Great White Way 36 years ago. It returns following a triumphant Off Broadway engagement at Second Stage Theater's 296 seat Tony Kisner Theatre moving the production to it's original home, the 597 seat Helen Hayes Theatre (now run by Second Stage). Watch Fierstein carry that torch from 43rd to 44th.

The new revival of TORCH SONG (starring Michael Urie) has no start date of previews but Opening Night is set for November 1st, 2018.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: When something in Entertainment becomes talked about in the news, it sometimes can became an easy target to make fun of on late night TV.

One of those times happened in 2011 when Saturday Night Live began poking and making fun of a high energy, thrilling, and dangerous musical ever to have hit the Great White Way. That little show was Spider-Man On Broadway (which ran for 3 years on Broadway): Turn Off The Dark which was very dangerous for Broadway was beca...use of the non-stop technical problems that have happened during preview performances (including actors getting stuck in the air and suffering from serious injuries). In the SNL sketch making fun of the musical's drama from hell, it features law attorney helping those who got injured whether being part of the company or sitting in the audience at one of Spider-Man's preview performances. Meet Frank Gublin.

How crazy was that sketch?

Anyone here who saw Spider-Man on Broadway during it's scary time of previews?
