We have received reports in our area that several people have been robbed, when meeting to buy electronics within the past 24 hours!...
Anyone with information regarding these incidences is encouraged to contact the Normandy Police at 314-385-3300.

NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY MUNICIPAL POLICE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION...
CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY
The North St. Louis County Municipal Police Chiefs Association will be sponsoring its Citizen Police Academy. The Academy will be hosted by the ST. ANN POLICE DEPARTMENT.
The goal of the Citizen Police Academy is to break down the barrier between police and the citizens. This is an opportunity for citizens to meet local police officers and interact with the Police Department. Most people are not aware of the numerous services and resources provided by the police department to ensure the safety of the community and its citizens.
Participants will meet for 2-3 hours on Tuesday evenings, for 12 weeks at the St. Ann Police Department beginning February 20, 2017.
The Citizen Police Academy will familiarize residents in the following areas:
• Duties of Police Officer
• Criminal Law
• Crime Scene Procedures
• Traffic Stops
• Use of Force
• Medical Operations
• Public Relations
• Emergency Situation/Code 1000
• Active Shooter
Applications may be picked up at the St. Ann Police Department or by requesting via email to email@example.com. Applications must be received no later than February 13, 2017. Class size is limited. Availability is on a first come first serve basis. Please get your application in right away.
All applicants must submit to a background check and police record check. The North St. Louis County Municipal Police Chiefs Association and the sponsoring police department will select all participants.
Normandy School Resource Officers have teamed up with members of our community; to once again provide free new winter coats for children in the community!
Distribution is first come, first served, while supplies last! Coats are assorted variety, color, and sizes range from S4/5 - XL 20.
Please bring your ID for residency verification purposes. There is also a 2 coat per household limit, unless your children are present.

Featuring a night of raffles, silent auctions, and a 50/50 drawing! Beverages and snacks provided; but coolers and food are welcome.

Normandy Police Department has had a busy 10 days conducting drug interdiction efforts in our community!
Taking weapons, marijuana, 46 ecstasy pills, crack cocaine, and more than 500 capsules of heroin off our streets. One of these cases was even in our school zone!

Their continued commitment to DWI and impaired driving enforcement for the 2017 year earned them a M.A.A.D. award and honorable mention at last nights annual ceremony.
It is with regret that the Normandy Police Department announces the sudden and unforeseen passing of Normandy Police Canine Officer Argo this evening.
We were notified that Argo took an unexpected turn for the worst, going into cardiac arrest. We ask for your thoughts and prayers for his handler Officer Miller and his family at this difficult time.
