I just adopted a Siberian husky. His name is atlas. He seems to be loving his new home and super friendly. It’s been two day so far and I can’t be happier about the new addition. The two lady’s who he...lped during the meet and greet with my other dog were great. They were ready for me when I came in and had the papers all set to go as long as my meet and greet with my other dog went well.

We recently adopted a sweet little girl. NCCR has gone above and beyond in helping us take care of our pup. They carefully screened, checked references
and finally selected us. I am so thankful that w...e were chosen to adopt our new best friend. Dawn has been amazing and truly loves the pups she cares for. I cannot say enough great things about this organizati on.
We are the proud owners of Scout! Was known as “Kaci” We looked for the right GSD for over a year. We found the perfect one here! They were very honest and upfront with ‘what they knew and could tell ...us’. Everything
about our dog has been %100 true and our dog fit right in to our family and has taking proud ownership of her territory (our home)

We adopted our second dog from NCCR November of 2017, as we lost our sweet Maisie just a week prior. She was also a NCCR adoptee. I must say at the time of both of the adoptions,
we were in a great de...al of pain after losing our beloved pup, but each one so different and unique has helped heal the the broken heart, I tell everyone November is the day Lucy adopted us, thank you NCCR for all you do.
We just love NCCR. We got Rex in late June of 2016. Marcia was very informativ
e and didn't sugarcoat his "quirks". She also was very thorough in what he needed (i.e. big fenced in back yard) and we ha...d a visit with him at the shelter where they asked questions, gave us time to interact with him, and had us accompany him on a walk. I found this very comforting because they wanted to make sure we were the right fit, which made us feel like they really cared about him. Also, the in-home program really helped - especially with our boy! We were a little overwhelme d and it gave us a starting point on what to do. Now Rex gets excited when we stop to visit on our way to hiking and we even boarded him for our wedding and wasn't the least bit worried. I don't know anywhere else a dog is HAPPY to go back to the shelter. We couldn't be happier with NCCR and if we ever get another dog you can bet that's where we are going!

My Memphis was gifted to me through the amazing folks at NCCR! We were acquainted
during a very sad time for me, just two months after saying goodbye to my 13 year old Beagle. That dog wasn't "replace...d," but Marcia and the volunteers helped me welcome another addition to my family that has brought joy to our hearts! Please consider donating, volunteeri ng, fostering or adopting. They're an amazing organizati on!

I can't speak highly enough about my experience
with NCCR. They truly want each adoption to be successful and go above and beyond to help ensure it. A trainer is provided free of charge for 8 weeks a...fter the adoption. I can't speak highly enough about Lisa, the trainer. She comes to the home and helps work on whatever issues may arise during the initial 2 month adjustment period!! She has been a godsend! Thank you NCCR for rescuing Hope so that she could become part art of our family, and thank you Lisa for all your amazing help!!
NCCR is a WONDERFUL place, kept in business by WONDERFUL people, doing WONDERFUL things for these dogs. Our adoption process took about 3-4 weeks, I’m so glad I was patient. The volunteers
work tire...lessly interviewi ng and communicat ing to make sure each and every dog has a loving and appropriat e home. We ended up with an adorable, curious, and energetic pup that is now the light of our lives. We drove almost 2 hours (each way) to visit this facility. Top notch people who LOVE what they do!! Thank you NCCR for all the love and attention you give to these dogs, keep doing what you’re doing
Wonderful place and people!!!!
They were very understand ing of wanting to bring my children in to meet our new girl. These people are knowledgea ble, honest, and kind! I won't ever go anywhere else!!! ...Marcia and Lynn took amazing care of us, and the dog was in beautiful condition. We love our new addition!!
We adopted from here the cutest dog ever. Our Bandit is such a sweet, obedient dog and is amazing. The folks here were so kind and let us take the time to find the right dog for our little Lucy dog. ...And now our two dogs are inseparabl
e. Just over all, we found these folks kind and quick to tell when a dog may not work out. If you need a pet, come here.

I have rescued both of my fur babies from NCCR. They are amazing, not only to their animals, but to future adopters. Everyone is extremely helpful, accomadati

We just adopted the most wonderful Basset Hound named Elsa! Marcia and Anne helped bring her to us and we thank you from the bottom of our ’s. We highly recommend NCCR!
Great place. I adopted Suki 2 weeks ago an me and him have really bonded with one another. He is my little fur baby.
Amazing service. I applied for, and heard back quickly. The applicatio
n process was thorough and took some time, but I heard back within a week or two. They saved my son from a high kill shelter and I... can never repay them. He is my whole life now
My primary contact person from NCCR was not much of a point of contact since she strung my family along for 13 days and when I informed her that the process was taking to long and we adopted from else...where she called me rude. I meant it as a helpful thing so they did not have to go through calling all of the references
since we had already adopted. She made it personal and tried to lecture me about working fulltime and volunteeri ng and told me that I should volunteer my limited free time like her and see if I am busy. Kinda ridiculous since Dawn knows nothing about my life, if I volunteer, and if I have any free time outside of my full time job, kid to raise, home to maintain and wife to keep happy. Pretty sure she was lying as well about having the puppies we wanted to adopt. There were originally 5 to be adopted at the time of my applicatio n. All of the sudden when I send my last email to her to inform her I adopted she says all of the dogs are adopted?? What happened to them and why wasn't I told days ago that the dogs were gone when I was still waiting to hear back from you? 13 days!! No wonder they have 18 puppies and adult dogs to get adopted out. It takes weeks or months to even get a chance to look at a dog. This place needs lots of help I guess.

We had a wonderful experience
with Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue. I was able to meet Oscar, now known as Walter in a nice quite manner. The staff were friendly and accommodat ing. We were able to t...ake our dog for a meet and greet. We brought home Walter two weeks ago tonight and he is a delight. He is gaining some weight and his hair is growing back. We are so happy that Walter has become part of our family. Thank you!

We just rescued Paisley last night. I can't tell you how grateful my wife and I are with NCCR. This is our second dog, they took the time to make sure the dogs got along. Not to mention the time to... help us with guidance on how the will interact and what to expect. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that needs a dog or help with their current dog.
