Another review by John Farrell...
Oswald, the Actual Interrogation, by Dennis Richard, provides another angle of perception to that still-controversial killing Nov. 22, 1963.

"Whether, like those theatergoing Boomers, you are of age to recall with precision that fateful day, or a Generation X-er simply interested in the Kennedy assassination for historical reasons, Oswald, The Actual Interrogation makes for exciting theater down San Pedro way" - Steven Stanley, StageScene LA.

"The play makes no choices about what theory, if any, it endorses. Instead it is a drama that lets the audience decide. It brings some new evidence and facts but doesn’t play favorites. Go see it and decide for yourself" - John Farrell, Long Beach Press Telegram.

On the day Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested and brought into the Dallas Police Department, the place was in a state of total chaos. Crammed into the narrow hallways and corridors were dozens of news reporters and onlookers searching for some meaning to the horrible events of the day. Police officers and detectives were shuffling back and forth from room to room with grim faces. The situation appeared to be very much out of control - - flash bulbs continuously popped and television reporters stood nervously in front of television cameras broadcasting live to the world the message that someone had just been arrested.

Nice review by Richard Blake, Associate Critic at THE COLUMN:

Casa Mañana’s production of Oswald, The Actual Interrogation, is bold, poignant and considered controversial, but above all else an example of excellence in live theatre!

Playwright Dennis Richard has created a well-organized and versed accounting of two lone men in a room, removed from the chaos that is unfolding outside.

Director Casey Hushion follows through with his excellent casting and staging of the work.

Ben Williams as the title character Lee Harvey Oswald delivers a spectacular performance every moment of the production.

The lead investigator/interrogator Captain Will Fritz is played by Ed Dixon with tremendous talent and strength.
