"Toys4Autism" is going to try to honor Graduates from Staten Island Special Needs schools this coming June - I am going to try to but together about 30 to 40 gift bags for the graduates of the Hungerford School (My son graduated from this school) - hopefully I will partner, once again with the South Shore Rotary, who have been so helpful in running the prom for about 18 years, they even supplied a limo, that picked up my son at our house. This is a very worthy event, they have a complete meal, deserts and music ,all donated by locals. If you have helped me during our Christmas toy drive I would love to hear from you on this. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday, crews started at about 8 p.m. removing the iconic 350-foot main span of the old Goethals Bridge that was built in the 1920s. The bridge was opened to traffic in June 1928. The mains span is slightly larger than a football field, according to the Port Authorit.....
