Hi everyone! We are about to start the Palmer YMCA Holiday Cheer Campaign (the giving tree that goes up in the skywalk and helps give presents to families in need). Our first step is to make the "gift ornaments" that go up on the tree.
TODAY at 6pm we need help! We will meet in the Vogt room (a door right next to the W210 room) and if we get a lot of people we will move to the student union.
We will have another date for this soon, so keep an eye out for that!
...Our gift wrapping party will be December 15th in the Vickie Ann Palmer Hall.
Don't forget to pick up an ornament and buy a gift as well over the next few weeks Reach out to Bianca Catalano if you have any questions!

🤗Come out and join us for Trivia NOW! TONIGHT! At Barrel House! We’re excited to tell you more about our club!

The Palmer Philanthropy Club dropped off the donated school supplies to Madison elementary school today and we could not be more grateful! Thank you to everyone who donated. The Madison principal was extremely grateful, and these supplies will go a long way. It means a lot to see how much Palmer cares about the community and helping every student have a chance at success!
Which tri is the most Philanthropic?! Pick up a card from the PPC table in the Skywalk TOMORROW, buy those items, turn the items and your card into Student Services and help your tri win the title of Most Philanthropic!
Palmer philanthropy club spent two Saturday mornings helping clean up apartment units used for the Humility of Mary organization. This organization provides emergency shelter for adults dealing with homelessness in the Davenport area. They are always looking for help and donations! We were happy to be there!
Palmer Philanthropy Club/OP3 added an event.
The PPC is assisting the Humility of Mary Shelter Inc. clean one of their properties for their tenants. Come out and help a great cause. Some snacks and drinks will be provided, as will all cleaning supplies. Feel free to bring gloves and some clothes that can get a little dirty.
For those of you moving or just looking to downsize, please consider donating your items to Humility of Mary. Attached is a list of items they are looking for, but if you would like to donate an item not on the list, contact them to see if they would accept it! I know we are all looking to make a little extra cash, but please consider helping out those with no money!

This Saturday, June 3rd, Humility of Mary Shelter needs dozens of eager volunteers to assist in cleaning over 30 units. To give you guys some background, Humility of Mary Shelter Inc. provides emergency shelter for people to escape the streets as well as service coordination and supportive housing programs to help end homelessness. Their tenants receive tailored programs focused on goals and increasing self-determination, plus assistance towards home ownership. It is an incre...dible program, but due to federal funding cuts, they are no longer able to keep their property on 1450 W. 4th. street in Davenport and must return it to the original landlord. This is where you come in. They have reached out to the Palmer Philanthropy Club for help cleaning and repainting the property's units and are in desperate need of help. If you are interested in helping, it would be from 9 am until 1 pm and would take place on Saturday June 3rd and Saturday June 17th. For more information, you can contact student execs Frank Benik, Brynn Lay, Bianca Catalano or Shelby Wall. Thank you!
See MoreYour rockstar PPC executive committee spent their weekend taking part in the Music & Memory Program! The team uploaded music onto iPods for senior citizens which can help them remember moments in their lives! They also made a friend in he process! If you would like to get involved with this program contact any of the EC members, we'd be happy to help!
We are bringing back the Soap For Hope toiletry drive this Friday, May 5th! You can find our donation boxes over the next 3 weeks in the bookstore and in the sky walk. The donations we are asking for are age appropriate (6-11 year olds), with soaps and toothpaste being at the top of the list! Your donations go a long way in our community, so thank you all for your generosity!
As many of you know, my time on Palmer's campus is officially up! I'd like to introduce the AMAZING crew that will be taking over the Palmer Philanthropy Club. Cheers to many more wonderful events, time spent, donations made, and people served. Thank you for all the memories & best of luck!!!
