It's with a heavy heart that the Padraig Pearse family wish to offer our condolences to the family and friends of Dermot McManus of Athlone. Dermot played for the club with great distinction in 2007. His goal in the Chicago Junior A final proved the decisive score in the game, a bullet of a free kick into the top corner. We went on to win the North American Championships that year. Dermot was loved by all a true character to remember that will live long in Pearses folklore. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal. Here is Dermots winning goal from 2007 and our team picture in celebration of a famous victory!
