Does size really matter? Apparently not, since the PYGMY SHARK is one of the few sharks that isn't threatened! Averaging only 7-8 inches, this shark lives in waters so deep, that it's rarely seen by humans. The only shark with a GLOWING belly, the pygmy shark attracts and lures its smaller prey with its bioluminescent belly, and just like that, dinner is served!

What the... Is that a fish?

The sneaky Stargazer Fish's eyes and mouth are placed at the top of his head! It buries itself in the sand, and will pounce on any passing prey that looks delicious enough (usually benthic fish and invertebrates). The stargazer has many weapons in his arsenal: A worm shaped lure it wiggles to attract prey, two poisonous spines above it's fins, and some can even cause electric shocks!

That's a face only a mother could love!

The Blobfish is very rarely seen by humans. It lives in the deep sea, withstanding pressure several dozen times higher than at sea level. To compensate, it's gelatinous body is only slightly denser than water. It's doesn't really spend any energy on swimming, or have any muscle mass. It just floats along the sea floor and eats anything that comes it's way.

Meet: THE SEA DEVIL - also known as the Fanfin Angler Fish!

As for all Anglerfish, the female Fanfin Angler is much larger than the male. When a male sees a female, he will bite her and stay attached until he fuses with her and becomes a parasite. That's one way to get a date!

This guy DEFINITELY doesn't fit in with the rest of his Shark Family!

Recently confirmed in Mexico, the CYCLOPS SHARK is shown here with one of his siblings. Usually, they have a blue gray color and, well.... TWO eyes! He's afflicted with a condition called Cyclopia, which makes for an unfortunately short life span for affected sharks.

Forget seahorses, this is a seaDRAGON!The leafy seadragon propels itself by means of a pectoral fin on the ridge of its neck and a dorsal fin on its back closer to the tail end.

These small fins are almost completely transparent and difficult to see as they undulate minutely to move the creature sedately through the water, completing the illusion of floating seaweed.

The Weedy Sea Dragon has no natural predators but is the frequent victim of poaching and theft. Removed from ...its natural habitat, the Weedy Sea Dragon rarely survives. The survival rate of Weedy Seadragons in captivity is only 60%, and they are hardly ever successfully bred.

Are there any Sea Dragons in Planet Fish? There's only one way to find out! http://bit.ly/Play_PlanetFish_Now
