Coffee drinks are goodness and bean roast is awesome. Faves: Timor & El Salvador are gracious good beans, the matcha green tea is unmatchable. Plank has great cookies and cakes! Their baked stuff is ...delectable. Try the coconut pound cake!! My favorite drinks: the cinnabang & mocha white. See More

The BEST ginger cookies we have ever had! Wonderful service polite staff. Excellent coffee. Wished I lived closer we are in the eaSt coast, because I sure could use some of their coffee & cookies on ...this cold, snowy day! See More

The coffee has amazing flavor and was made with love even a beautiful creamy heart floated on the surface and their ham and cheese croissant 🥐 was deliciously made like none other I have ever tasted, ...with a light whipped cheese.. the price was affordable and the place was clean, the atmosphere there was like that of early morning rise of sun in the tall redwoods On a clear spring morning... Excellent coffee and a wondrous selection of pastries! (4/5 green stars)
It was definitely worth stopping in Cloverdale to see the town (and its quirky artwork) and visit Plank coffee. In terms of des...ign, it’s one of the nicest coffee shops I’ve ever come across. Great light and a good mix of seating from the large communal table to the big armchairs. I had a Guatemala Huehuetenango pour-over (you heard me!) – reasonably priced at $3.25 and very nicely roasted & brewed. They now roast their own beans, with 10 oz bags for sale at $13-14. I also had a piece of their Hungarian shortbread ($2) and having made my own at home (and thinking it was good) I can say that theirs was exceptionally good! I was shocked to hear that it’s also gluten-free – a local baker makes it using their special rice flour mix. They have a great selection of pies and pastries with several vegan and gluten-free options.

I’m wavering between 4 and 5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on these reasons:

• I believe that their coffee and teas are organic.
• Having said that, I’d like to know more about their coffee – I forgot to ask and now can’t find any info online. I think that some bags are labeled as organic and some not. Not sure about trade practice. Hope to learn more!
• They stock organic almond and soy milk.
• Some vegan-friendly pastries.
• They now roast their own coffee in restored roaster and package it in compostable (I think) bags.
• I like that as an alternative to soda they sell a “Shrub of the Week”, made from local produce. Great idea!
• Their amazing décor is largely from salvaged (communal table), vintage (armchairs) or locally-sourced (their wooden wall) materials.
• Lids not compostable – anyway, bring your own mug!

Delicious coffees, outstanding tea selection, tasty vegan, gluten free and regular baked goods. The staff is friendly and helpful and the wood paneled interior is comfortable and inviting. Outdoor s...eating as well as homemade dog biscuits and a water bowl for well behaved canines... What more do you need? On a hot Cloverdale afternoon, the "Arnold Planker" ice tea or "Big Red" ice tea are perfect! See More

Excellent coffee! I've added Plank Coffee on my list of places to stop while in the area.

Bring in your own mug and help reduce waste (and get 25-cents off your drink). Last year you saved 3,801 paper cups, lids and sleeves! Our goal is to double it this year.

Hi Everyone! For over a year, we have been building out a new commercial kitchen and coffee roasting facility, and restoring this beautiful 1993 Probat L5 coffee roaster. We are happy to announce - it is finally complete! We are now roasting all of our coffee in-house, and will be rolling out our Pine Mountain Espresso later this week.
We also added an assortment of delicious juices! Try the carrot, orange and ginger or the spinach, green apple, lemon ginger. Soooo goo...d! Classic orange and grapefruit freshly pressed are on hand as well.
Stay tuned for new breakfast items (can you say, breakfast sandwich? Yum!) coming soon...
And lastly, but MOST importantly, thank you thank you thank you to our Cloverdale community for supporting our little coffee shop for these past, gulp, almost 5 years! We love you and appreciate you so much!
Mike, Marne and the best Plank crew ever.
