What they say about PRE is true what you find in their bins for $1 is better than what you find at most record stores. They are very fairly priced. Cheaper than eBay for certain stuff. They have great... bargain buys like Steve Martin Comedy Albums for $2. They have a great selection of comedy albums. Probably cheapest record store I have been too. (Cheapest LPs shop is very nice) Widest selection of music I have seen. Used bins are scattered not organized. I guess they do this so you spend a lot of time there which I don't mind at all!!! Staff is very chill and cool. Wish it wasn't so far away, I traveled 1H 30 min to get to this shop. Best Record Store on the East Coast!!! I am writing this review months after I have been here. I would have remembered more great things about this shop. See More

There's a reason that Princeton Record Exchange is consistently mentioned when referring to the nation's top records stores and it has everything to do with their insanely large, curated collection, f...air prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

There are tons of record stores but there's only one Princeton Record Exchange. I'm just stoked to be so close to it.

The breadth of selection, both of artists and of media, beats anything I’ve seen in Manhattan or anywhere else. Prices are more than fair, and if there’s something you’ve been searching for online and... couldn’t find — chances are, it’s there waiting for you at PRE for much less than you would have expected... Now, GO! 😃 See More

I've been shopping here since 2012 when I found out about it, I come in about every 2 months and spend between $75-$250 each time (except for yesterday when I came to late and just was able to find a ...White Lion cassette for $1) I'll be shopping here for as long as they are open. See More

The store has a lot of albums from many genres. Helpful staff. Found several we were interested in. Perhaps a bit pricey but not unreasonable. Glad we made the trip. Great rock section and I walked ou...t with some Marvin Gaye too See More

Princeton Record Exchange is the greatest record store I've ever been to (been to many). The staff is very friendly and knowledgable for all music and film genres, and their new and used inventory is ...remarkable. When they say they will hold an item for you, it's there for you when you come in. This is a top-notch business; I'm glad I live close enough to shop there! See More

Sold PRX a bunch of old blues albums that I rescued from a home clean out. A few days after selling them, PRX called me back to increase their offer because some of the albums were more valuable than ...anticipated. Super reputable folks at PRX! See More

I found some gems in the store. It was worth the 45 minute drive. I just can't understand the method of organization. I prefer one giant pop/rock section like how fye used to do it.

Pretentious racist employees. Don’t go. Can’t even look you in the eye or say a hi back when you walk in.

I used to come here years ago. I've just moved to the area and rediscovered this old-school record store. People discuss what they find and share likes and knowledge in a way that will never be replic...ated online. I am so happy to visit and buy and just browse in this fantastic store. See More

Been going here since I first got my license 21 years ago. It's been a part of my life for music, not just to pick up a new album but also spend hours going through the amazing used section where I found hundreds of great finds even CDs I cant find anywhere else. Half the fun is the search and the experience and the wonderful feeling when you do find that one thing you have been searching for. This should be a part of every music lovers life in the area. The yellow bags are a symbol of this love and a nostalgia that will last forever! See More

I have been deeply intrigued to journey here after seeing all the great fb flip videos. I wasn't disappointed. Great selection of new and reissue albums with some stellar uses titles infused within.

I am boycotting the Princeton Record Exchange forever. We stopped in & I picked up a Crosby & Nash live cd which ended up being an obvious bootleg recording of bad quality. I'll need to destroy it of ...course -even if it was a mistake on the part of the store, I would expect them to keep tabs what crosses their counter. Very disappointed! See More
