I thought they was trying to ruin our New Years experience on purpose, we paid 500 for a table in main room but end up they messed up the list and we had no table so we waited 30 min outside for them ...to find the booking, than we was placed in a room next to the wc that stunk waited there another 40 min they still looking for the booking. We spoke with so many different people the both managers told us they will build us a table where we paid to be unfortunately they lied and after 1:30 h we was given drinks in that what it looked like a cowshed room . 11 h there was no way to get to the toilets as apparently they had 700 people but only 7 toilets after they reopened the doors we was waiting to get in the toilets every ones feet got soaked we thought that people dropped drinks on the floor but guess what one of the toilets got flooded and our feet was soaked with it .
They should take some notes as you can’t change people £500 and treat them like that and pls if you are going to post the same stupid excuse like u did underneath the other girls comments - don’t bother!!
Here I will post the pic with the most useless stuff in red circle !

I came to proud last night for NYE.
At around 11.30 my friend asked me to go to the toilet with her. As the queue was so long, the bouncer decided to close the doors leading to the stables to stop peo...ple coming through. However, people were trying to come into the stables from the opposite side and the people barged into the small room.
That experience was awful and I overheard a security guy say they were 700 people in here! Everyone was extremely squished and I was struggling to breathe. It felt like we were overcrowded cattle!
Finally when the door opened, my friend and I decided to turn back to find out friends. When we finally got out of the crowd, we went back to our stable (secret garden) were she was extremely upset. All this there dampened the mood for the count down.

However, as my friends and I had a stable, we had a great laugh and stayed in there most of the night. The service we had was very good so thanks for that.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. They separated the queue into males and females. My boyfriend and my friend's boyfriend got in first (20mins before us) and we later found out we were charged more than t...hem for entrance (£15 and £12). Queue took an hour and half. Our boyfriends couldn't find us once we got in as they said they were stuck in a room and not allowed to exit. They over-filled the club and stopped people leaving or entering a room as they had lost control of the crowd. Then when we asked the staff for help they said "if your boyfriends aren't coming out then they probably don't want to see you". This was outrsgeous. We then asked why we paid more for entrance than the boys and they just replied "oh f**k". The cloakroom was full so we had nowhere to put our coats. It was a horrendous night and I will never ever be going again. Sexist, rude staff and shutting people in a room is just plain ridiculous. See More

Been to two events now that were absolutely appalling.

Their beer fest was so rubbish that even the bar stuff were admitting they shouldn't have taken people's money. We ended up leaving because you... couldn't stand / sit anywhere, the queues to the bar were 7 people deep because there weren't enough staff / only one slow tap pouring the German beer into the pitchers, and if you couldn't squeeze into the tiny "beer hall" the music playing by the stables was 90s cheese?! Hardly the German experience we paid for

Contacted Proud twice for a refund (Facebook and email) and they've decided to not bother owning up to their shambolic events

So I advise people to not pay for events here - the space doesn't work, there's not enough staff, the toilets are disgusting and they have no qualms in taking your money and then not delivering on the event advertised. There are much better venues in Camden

Went to Oktoberfest for my boyfriends birthday. No idea what we paid £10 entry for? It was absolutely shocking - wait at the bar around 40 minutes at some points with bar tenders that couldn't even po...ur a pint of (non German) beer. Staff were rude. Awful atmosphere with nowhere to sit other than a few square sofas with a pole in the middle. Music was terrible and didn't even bother paying for food as it looked disgusting!

At one point a security guard approached my group and said we needed to have our bags checked and hand them in. I said do we need to pay for this? He replied yes - £2, and then walked away. Very odd!!

This was the worst event I've ever been to!!

Me and two friends tried to come in today - but the security guards were obscenely rude. After approaching them asking if this was the correct place, the bouncer just stared at us and smoked his cigar...ette. Eventually his mate responded saying we had to buy tickets online, but in a more aggressive manner.

You really should change your door staff, they are rude, obnoxious and a pair of idiots. Another group heard the way they spoke to us and decided not to go in.

Reading previous reviews of this place, seems the security can’t even securely control the place anyway. We walked down the road and found a much better, and friendly, bar.

I wish I had read the reviews before wasting our good money and group experience with friends we hadn’t seen for months at a truly appalling experience. We had paid for a table £260 when we arrived we... were kept waiting 20 minutes before being seated, once seated we were told a hostess would be over to take our drinks order, a further 20 minutes and no customer service at all. We had to go and find someone!! Then once our hostess came over she didn’t know the cost of any drinks. I ended up going to the bar (waited 20minutes again) myself to order jugs of beer for 8 of us to be told there were no jugs left!!! I had to go and clear a table myself to get a jug which the bartender did not wash out!! 4 of our group left to go outside and once there were not allowed back in we were told to go round the front which we did to be told is was the doorman’s discretion and they were not going to allow us back. Shocking customer service ruined our experience. Please no one else waste their time, money and social experience. See More

Music good , atmosphere great !! Waiting to hand your coat in took ages and I waited over 20 minutes for a drink at the bar. Did think it was free before 10pm to get in but at the door they charge me ...and said it’s free before 9pm is this correct ? See More

Bought £10 early bird tickets for this. They made it sound like an exclusive event with food stalls, live music etc ...... The food stalls and the best live music is outside the venue which is open to... the public. The venue you pay for is tiny and very disappointing. We were then offered ‘free entry’ into the venue we had already paid for as it wasn’t very busy (I wonder why) The only thing we enjoyed was the live music on the terrace which was brilliant. Don’t waste your money on a con like this. Wish I’d read earlier reviews on their other events!! See More

Oktoberfest event was one of the highlights of my weekend in London until I arrived! There were a couple of unreserved tables available so we bought drinks and made ourselves comfortable only to be as...ked to move as someone had just bought our table?! Finding other seats and trying not to be too annoyed we were then, very rudely, told that actually all tables were for vip's only! Sorry, paying £260 for a table does not make anyone a vip and treating paying customers like dirt does not make it a good event. A money making scheme which had nothing to do with Oktoberfest, wouldn't have spent much more than the price of being able to sit at a table by flying to Germany for the real deal and enjoying myself so much more. Thankfully we decided to make a sharp exit and actually had a really great day elsewhere! See More

Me and 3 friends went to the Oktoberfest event. No idea what we paid £15 for - waited for 20mins at the bar every time. The event was an absolute disgrace to German culture. By 6:30pm it had turned in...to a normal club night. It was truly awful - please do not host another Oktoberfest again Proud. See More

£4.50 for a flat, disgusting glass of coke. Never known anything like it. Either your staff are running a scam or management have lost their minds!

My girlfriend paid for two tickets for us to attend the show for my birthday - it cost her £120 for 2 people, and I feel so bad for her that it cost so much as the whole experience was just horrendous....

The photos of this place show a completely different seating plan to what it's really like. To cram as many people in as possible you are made to sit and eat your meal with tables pushed so close together it is like the long lunch tables that you eat at at school. Looking around you could tell that no one was expecting this and everyone looked really uncomfortable, and even the people who had paid extra for the VIP section looked squashed in their booths. You could definitely not have an intimate dinner and conversation with your partner without feeling like everyone next to you could hear it.

This was made worse when during your meal, the first "act" (the singing comic compere) started his performance. I have subjected this review as not a burlesque show because it really wasn't - the performances by the dancers (although brilliant) probably at best made up 20 minutes of the entire experience, with the majority of the entertainment time being commandeered by this compere. His singing was not bad, and some of his banter towards heckling members of the audience was amusing, however the jokes were repetitive and very hit-and-miss. Besides, we didn't pay for a stand up comic, we paid because we wanted burlesque, which we didn't get enough of to warrant the high cost. Also worthy of mentioning that due to the seating plan we did not have a clear view of the stage whatsoever.

The food was mediocre at best, and although one of the waitresses (a Spanish girl called Christina with lots of tattoos) was pleasant, the overall service was very poor. They got our order wrong, and then tried to charge us for items that we did not receive. After leaving the venue we discovered that they had even charged us for an unnoticed magazine that had been left on our table which we hadn't even taken with us!

If all this wasn't bad enough, me and my girlfriend were unfortunate enough to be sat next to perhaps the most obnoxious couple I have ever met. The bloke disrupted the performances at every opportunity - wildly thrashing his arms around to all the music, trying to talk to people while they were trying to watch the performances, breaking wine glasses and heckling the compere to the point even the audience were getting wound up. His wife was not much better behaved, as she tried to start a heated argument with the compere during his final bit. At the end of the night one of the waitresses even told us that two couples had left early on in the night because this couple had harassed them so much, and I can't say I blame them. Of course it is not the venues fault that their guests were badly behaved, however management definitely did not handle them correctly. Surely if you have guests that are causing people to leave they should be dealt with? But I guess they didn't care enough as they had already got their money.

I would say if you want to see burlesque in London then go to Sway Bar in London - tickets are £15 each and the experiences are so much better value for money. Either way, avoid this madhouse like the plague.
