Debate over the origins of the chimichanga is ongoing. According to one source a woman in the southwest accidentally dropped a burrito into the deep-fat fryer in 1922. She immediately began to utter a Spanish profanity, but quickly stopped herself and instead exclaimed "chimichanga", the equivalent of "thingamajig" Regardless of its origin - we love this fried dish!

I think $10 is a ridiculous price for a margarita. Thank God I know how to make them myself. I've tried to like this place but it is way mediocre and overpriced. I'll be trying the hole in wall Mexica...n restaurants as I bet there's way more authenticity and realistic pricing there. See More

Favorite place to eat in Rapid. We were regulars before we moved, and now every time we come back to visit we make it a point to stop in. Great margaritas and food. Bartenders, servers, the manager, a...nd the chef always take care of us. See More

Not good service. Granted they said they were under staffed. But my goodness 45 minutes before they took our order. Another 45 minutes before they brought our food and they didn’t even bring all of ou...r food another 15 minutes before everyone got theirs. Not to mention we didn’t receive our drinks until after our food came. Wasn’t a good day to visit Que Pasa See More

Absolutely disgusting! Lukewarm "sizzling" fajitas. Everything overpowered in lime. My 25 year old son threw up twice on the way to the car. OMG this was horrible. Pico was not fresh. Three di...fferent meals for three customers and all were terrible. Mouthwash couldn't get the nastiness from my mouth. Go anywhere else. Save your money!! Manager when told seemed out of his element and did not even offer our money back. Most of our food was left at the table. See More

Good food, good waiter! Hard to find good Mexican food the further north we get, but this was a good surprise! Would recommend it!

Great food, outstanding service. We received our orders quickly, and our server was great. Anything we asked for we received right away, couldn’t ask for better service!

I always have a great time with friends here. Our servers have great attitudes and strike a balance of checking on us and leaving us to visit. Love the margarita specials.

I don't know what's more disgusting, the food or their billboards across South Dakota that make light of President Trumps proposed border wall and the immigration debate in general. I prefer Mexican r...estaurants that both taste good and that aren't disrespectful towards the culture and people they take their cuisine from. Que Pasa? does neither. See More

I was born and raised in RC, moved to Florida seven years ago and return every year for several weeks. I have been pleasantly surprised by all the improvements on Main St, between 5th & 6th Streets.
...Most pleasantly surprised by the addition of Qué Pasa. I absolutely love this place, eating there multiple times, in one visit home.
I have NEVER been disappointed with the food or drink quality, the service or the atmosphere. The Staff have always been friendly and accommodating, even going so far as to oblige a last minute reunion, with no notice & without attitude one.
I continue to be a membet of the "clean plate club" at Qué Pasa and will return yearly!

I've eaten here 3 times and have not liked it any of the times. The first time I got the chicken nachos and just didn't particularly like it and wasn't what I was expecting but couldn't really blame t...he restaurant on that so decided to try it again. The second time I got the enchiladas and it was cold in the middle and also the third time same thing. Won't eat there again. See More

recently stopped by for dinner (maybe a week or 2 ago - over the weekend) and had the most unpleasant experience we have had there yet. shortly after eating some chips and salsa, my wife (who is curre...ntly pregnant) and I began feeling sick. by the time we got our main entree's, we could hardly eat. we took the food in to go boxes although we ended up throwing it away when we got home in the hopes of not getting sick all over again. we hadn't done anything else during the day that could have caused this. no one else in our home had been sick. it will probably be a long time before we return. Went out for dinner with friends. The service was the worst. The waitress was rude, never asked if we needed anything. She acted as though we were bothering her when we asked for something. She should... have asked us if we needed anything. Left us sitting with dirty dishes in front of us for fifteen minutes and our glasses completely empty. Brought us our check and we wanted more drinks. We could not get water even. This place has gone down hill. Food was not that good either. This is our second time with bad service at this restaurant. We will not be back. See More

Food was ok, service wasn't great, we showed up at 9 and our server was hurrying to get us out of there.

Does have a nice selection of drinks and a patio.

We always have great service at the bar and rooftop cantina when we come. I would avoid the sitting in the restaurant if you can because we've never had good service there.

The food is some of the b...est in town and the rooftop cantina is an excellent alternative to the Vertex if you don't feel like draining your bank account. See More
