Remember when Romaine blamed the voters for not passing the measure that would have created a Dept. of Public Works which would have put full control of the Highway Dept under the authority of the Town Supervisor?
Funny he neglected to blame his predecessor...
Really want to send a message with tomorrow's special election for Highway Superintendent? Ask for a write-in ballot. Don't support either of the unqualified, politically connected candidates running or their big-party backers. Let's shake things up and send the message that as taxpayers in Brookhaven we are tired of politics as usual.
Choose one of the three official write-in candidates (Michael DePaoli, Zabby Now, and Jon Versheck) or pick anyone else other than Kathy Walsh or Dan Losquadro.

Anyone going tonight...?
Event: Meet the Candidates-
ToB Councilwoman Kathy Walsh and
NYS Assemblyman Dan Lasquadro....
Date: February 21, 20
Time: 7:00 pm sharp
Place: SELDEN FIRE HOUSE
This is your opportunity to ask these two candidates what they will do if we have another storm to keep you and your family safe. That is one thing that this town forgot, our safety.
Romaine has shared in the harsh criticism from frustrated residents for vacationing in Jamaica as residents struggled through blistering temperatures and shoveled mounds of snow. Some were so outraged that they created a Facebook page, dubbed “Recall Ed Romaine & Fire Dan Panico,” which has more than 2,200 likes. Panico, a town councilman, also serves as deputy supervisor.
What happens when you elect a Town Supervisor to County Executive....?
"Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone was absent from the office for days at a time or longer during his first year on the job and often was difficult to reach, said four high-level sources with direct knowledge of his schedule".
Maybe Bellone and Romaine attended the same course on absentee management.
He's back on Facebook:
So here's my first question to him:
I have to ask you Supervisor Romaine: Who was it that informed you that the Highway Dept. was ready and could handle the storm when you called in from Jamaica on Friday Feb 8th? It wasn't Acting Highway Superintendent, Michael Murphy, he was home with a toothache. I suspect as your second in command, it could have only been you Deputy Supervisor, Dan Panico.
In fact, were you even told about Michael Murphy's absenc...e?
So knowing you had an interim superintendent not coming in to do his job, knowing we had a blizzard fast approaching, why on earth would such ridiculous assurances be made (or believed for that matter)?
Longwood Public Library 7:30 PM Tonight:
I guess this page has even gotten Deputy Supervisor, Dan Panico's attention, he seems to have unblocked me at some point in order to view this page himself.
Well this will probably get me blocked again...
