I want to thank Ms. Krissy for re seeding the sunflower beds and the butterfly garden . I met Krissy at Dillard University when I brought the horses for their Homecoming ceremonies for the mounted division . She was drawn into the ranch from that day . Krissy also volunteered with the Campton jr. Posse in California . I want thank you and wish you well as she will graduate this spring.

Thank you Teen Vogue & all young voices of our generation who are speaking loud against pending legislation that directly contradicts our American values of lif...e, liberty & freedom. The movement to #RewildOurWorld is imperative in saving not only our horses & habitats; but the collective future of our humanity.

Fort Polk horses are on danger of ending up on the slaughter pipeline.

Fort Polk Horses of Kisatchie

Dear all,

We've recieved individual accounts in the past few years about killbuyers' involvement with the Fort Polk horses. However, Dec 26th, 2017 a report was... provided with detail, photos, vehicle descriptions, etc about the situation at Fort Polk.

According to the report, Fort Polk is allegedly working with the Thompson’s of Pitkin, Louisiana (in Fort Polk's backyard). Thompsons sell hundreds if not thousands of horses into the slaughter network annually.

The report indicated that army is allowing the Thompsons to take horses while giving others to the public.

However if you are simply an individual wanting a horse or 2 they are not allowing it, you have to take the whole "lot" or nothing and if you don't take what they offer you are removed from the "Give Away List" and never be allowed to get horses again.

This is described in the Army's Elimination plan, called COA 7:…/u-s-armys-removal-pl…/

Allegedly, horses are sometimes captured in the Geronimo Drop Zone then hauled to a holding area in North Fort holding area with absolutely no shelter. The report indicated that horses seem to be held for several days before "given away".

Also, there are now two reports of horses being baited into areas and shot, which regardless of who is responsible, or where it is happening, is heinous and needs to CEASE immediately.

This is the picture that can be released at this time. We need to ramp up the public pressure because the opinion and concern is individuals making the decisions at Fort Polk (including the one below) are not doing right by the horses, and that their current COA7 plan could result in horses funneled into the slaughter pipeline:

Wayne Farris Director / Chief Environmental Division at Fort Polk 337-353-5567 & 337-531-7008

IMPORTANT: if you can do something to HELP, make a phone call, get a reporter involved, write an article, etc. There is an active lawsuit but the army just continues these egregious activities that perpetuate needless suffering and death.
