You know that moment when you get a chance to play not one but two shows with an artist you grew up listening to? Yeah, I’m living that this weekend. God is great and I take none of these blessings for granted. Big ups to the MD, keyboardist, and my sistah Noriko Olling for entrusting me with the bass duties. My girl, Helen De La Rosa, will be on drums and the dangerous background singers are Abduel Hall, Cory Walker, and Krystal Helene. I’m looking forward to a great weekend of music. Come on out. You have this Friday, Saturday, or come to both shows. 😀
Hey fam!! I have three Southern Cali shows coming up within the next month and a half:
This Friday and Saturday (3/16 and 3/17) at the Catalina Jazz Club with Miki Howard in Hollywood, CA
April 8th with my sisters Jeanette Harris and Althea Rene at Mediterranean Jazz and Supper Club in San Diego, CA...
April 21st Prince Tribute Concert with Attention To Detail Productions at The Chapel in North Hollywood, CA
I’m so honored to be in the bass chair for these upcoming shows. I would love to see my LA and Baketown fam there for at least one of these shows.
Looking forward to a great weekend of great music. I get the honor of playing with my brothers, Charles Young II, Eric Barefield, Darren Gholston, Marcus Jenkins, and many others at the GospelFest at CSUB’s Icardo Room this Friday, 2/9/18 and Saturday, 2/10/18 I am playing with Karen Briggs at Spaghettini’s with Darrell Lavigne (keys, MD), Nick Smith (keys), and Marvin Smitty Smith (Drums).
THIS BASS is SOOOO DOPE!! This is Kiesel’s new Osiris bass and this particular one has the radiused single coils and sounds just like a 70’s Jazz Bass. No lie. It is very similar to the new Zeus bass but it is a double cut vs the single cut on the Zeus. I’ll be playing one of these at the IK Multimedia booth #17206 with Eric Parker at 4pm on Saturday. Come check it out. You won’t be disappointed. #KieselCarvinArtist
