looking through your comments it seems that any negative response is met with a quick little rebuttle so I will give you another I also have been building r/c planes for 40 years, a lot of sig kits as... well, they were all good kits until 2 months ago when I purchased a sig hog bipe the balsa was very fuzzy took a lot of sanding to smooth out there was a lot of , in my opinion unneeded carving and sanding to this design I was only given 11 cut web shearings hardly enough for 2 wings the cloth wick on the hinges came off in my hands when I opened the bag making them useless and I had to cut all of the ribs out of the blank due to dull die cutters, the laser cut plywood parts were good and most of the hardware was of good quality but this kit was just disappointing I know sig is better than this, I don't know, maybe someone will think this comment is petty too. I enjoyed the personal attention, not to mention a personal tour, of your factory. A vivid walk down memory lane, from following your company via ads and using/building several of your kits over the p...ast 40 plus years. Thanks for all!! See More

I've grown up with Sig products over the past 40 years and have purchased many of their classic/outstanding kits, adhesives, dopes, paints and of course.... their exceptional quality balsa. This Ameri...can company ranks right at the top of my list of greatest American model aviation companies. Sig Mfg has been a huge part of my life and ultimately inspiring my 29 year Air Force career. Special thanks to the entire Sig Family! Sincerely, Tony Accurso - Rosamond/Edwards AFB, CA See More

I have built 2 SIG kits. The Four Star 40, and Somethin' Extra. Both are amazing planes, and very good instruction manuals/plans.

Just got my Kouger kit. The instructions say to glue the wing skins to the foam cores with Sig Core Bond. Core bond is no longer available so I called tech support and was told core bond was discont...inued over ten years ago...but they have not changed the assembly instructions and have not provided an alternative in the kit. Per tech support I was told to use the epoxy method on their website. Both the tech support individual and I went to the website but the epoxy directions were not there. Next I was told to go to their face book site for the instructions. What a joke. I should have read the instructions on Tower and checked to see if all the items required to build the kit were available. This is a first for me.....I have to go to a social media site to find what was missing from the manufacturer's website and from the product instructions. Years ago Sig was a quality manufacturer....not any more. Buyer Beware! See More

Sig has hit a "home run" with its new reissue of its phenomenal "Somethin' Extra" ARF! Beautifully packaged, finished, and clear assembly instructions, knock this one out of the park. Especially notew...orthy is Customer service, where Bob goes out of his way to be helpful, even sending assembled spare parts my way. Sig has a winner here! See More

I have built kits from Goldberg, Topflite, and SIG. The SIG kits have been far better than the others in pats quality and assembly. The plans are nicely detailed in such a way that if I ever wreck the... plane I can reference the plans to repair it and make new parts.

All they need now are some Warbird kits in the 60 and Giant scale sizes!

The SIG Kits, Gotta love building! The (now) "Classics" are legendary. In today's ARF's, that come and go, the Kadets, and Kobras and Kougar, are a MUST for RC enthusists! If you've built one in th...e past, isn't it time to build another? For new builders.....learn the skills to build, and you can repair your ARFs too!. See More

I'm building the 1/6th scale Piper J-3 Cub converted to the L-4 Grasshopper. So far, I'm loving this kit. So easy to modify which is a good thing because it does require a lot of mods for the L-4. I'm... also making this a two piece wing to make it a little easier to transport. Hoping to have all the construction done over the Thanksgiving weekend. See More

I just purchased a Thermal Dart for my sons birthday.
After spending the time to put it together has perfect as possible I picked up the plane and the tail broke off the fuselage. Needless to say this... can not be fixed. This is a bad design or bad material or both.
I am very disappointed in this product, it was a waste of time and money.

SIG has great kits and hardware that is hard to find. They still carry proper dope in various colors. Wish they made more FF rubber stuff.
Here is a really cool video SIG Demoiselle flying in the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota over the Christmas 2011 holiday. THANK YOU Steve Mills of Mankato, MN for the excellent video.
