We are at the end of our first wonderful year at Saint Stephen’s. It has exceeded our expectations by a massive amount. The school is well run and has a beautiful community feel. Both of this year’s c...lass teachers were incredible. They really worked to understand their students and how to motivate them to get the best out of them. In our case they made the move to Qld much easier for my sons. Both are settled and happy and sad to be leaving their teachers behind. I thoroughly recommend Saint Stephen’s. See More

Pity they could not update their website images and reports to recent years rather than have ones that are several years old.

So much for supporting this school for the past 6 years. With my daughter graduated two years ago and is doing a double major law and commerce at Griffith. My son has only the year 12 left and we have... been tossed out since I could not pay the whole year in advance by Friday this week. Are there any other parents who have to pay a year in advance or are we just the only one's??? Also great way to end the school experience 5 years we struggled and we payed it all, late I admit but we always payed. And now My son has been terminated from the school by the principal Mr Dorrington who blackmailed me today. Namely he offered to Keep my son enrolled if I pay for the entire year in advance by this Friday, plus he wanted additional $500. The Saint Stephen's collage experience. Be very careful when choosing this school as this may be your child's fate one week before the start of their final year. I asked for the contact details for the school board so i can express my concerns to the chair of the board. Once again I was blocked by the Blackmailing principal Mr Dorrington who said that HE spoke to the board and that he has their support. Nice to know that the only place that you can vet your grievances is controlled by the Blackmailing Principal who said to me that HE will not allow me to speak to them. ( conversation has been recorded by me) I do not recommend this school. Some of the teachers are the best but the Admin is bitter and political and very vindictive Dorrington, Santosa all very bitter people. Two years ago when my daughter was graduating year 12 Mr Dorrington the Principal said to the entire year 11 that he hates the graduating year 12 and that he cant wait till they are gone. My daughter was hart broken. So much for the Saint Stephens collage experience. All smoke and mirrors about the unity family. The top Admin staff (Mrs Dolores Santosa, Mr Jamie Dorrington) does not share those values and does not practice them. Be careful think three times before you go loose 5 years to be blackmailed and terminated at the start of year 12. See More

This school is horrid. Let's their drummers keep up the entire street of elk court to all hours of the night. We have children living right next door and there is no consideration. Previously have cal...led the police about noise and nothing is done. Maybe think about the community and the families in the surrounding area before allowing drumming past 6pm. See More

How to recycle at Saint Stephen's College
Here are our Year 11 students talking about their Japanese exchange experiences in 2014. These students lived in Kyoto Japan for a period of 3 months and also hosted Japanese students with their families for 3 months.

A number of students attended the Health Centre today, 7 students have been taken to hospital. All the students’ parents went with them. I will be visiting the hospital as soon as possible today.

It is likely the students have ingested some kind of substance. While this is obviously of concern to me, it does allow me to reassure you that their illness was not due to anything contagious.

The Queensland Ambulance Service has just been with the Executive staff and noted that ...the school’s response was exactly as they would have liked it to have been. Students all received appropriate care as soon as we were alerted to the problem.

I have been advised by Queensland Ambulance that if students were to exhibit any symptoms it would have occurred by now.

Much of what the current media is saying is an exaggeration. As stated earlier this afternoon, I will provide you with more information as it comes to hand, while being respectful of people’s privacy.

Public Health Unit Immunisation information for Year 7 students
Immunisation consent forms

Year 7 parents should have received your child’s immunisation consent form. Please complete and return by next week. Immunisation is extremely important for your child’s protection.
It is requested that all parents please read the information about vaccines being provided in the Information for Parents and Legal Guardians Package before completing the consent form.

Please note: A consent form is requested to be completed for all Year 7 students even if parents do not want their child vaccinated at school. This assists us to confirm that the immunisation offer was received by each family.

Three dancing lions, drummers and 2500 home-made dumplings helped Saint Stephen’s College students ring in the Chinese New Year.

Executive Director of International Education, Ms Sam Holmes, said parents and students had spent countless hours rolling dough, preparing fillings and cooking thousands of pork and vegetarian dumplings for students and teachers.
