re posted from Save Our Sands (too good to not share) :
We received the most beautiful letter from a lady who now lives in Oregon along with her contribution to Save the Sands. She has authorized us to share with everyone so here it is:

"Whenever she could afford to, my mom took us to the movies and for a few hours we were just like everyone else. We laughed, we cried, we were scared and then relieved. We could forget for a little while that we were poor. We lost ourselves i...n stories on the screen. We were moved, inspired, changed by what we saw and we dreamed.
Thank you for your efforts to save the theatre. I know my mom, Sandy, would be heartbroken if it closed. Going to the movies is still one of her favorite things to do. So this donation is in honor of my mom who took us eight kids to the movies every chance she had. Thanks for some good memories and best wishes for a successful campaign."
