Legislation to create a "New York Bird-Friendly Building Council" and begin addressing the millions of birds killed by window strikes… every year is on its way to the Governor's desk! The incredibly beautiful lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus). It can be found insub-Saharan Africa, and is a vagrant to the southern Arabian Peninsula.
