It may be just after new years but spring and baseball season is just around the corner.
The American Academy of Pediatrics estimates tens of thousands of kids... are injured each year playing Baseball and Softball. Some of these injuries are minor. Others have long term effects on the athletes long term abilities. Little league organizations place a great emphasis on the safety of their athletes and make rules and field changes to protect them. But parents also play a crucial part. They must take an active role in protecting their athlete from overuse and other injuries. Some injuries are not preventable, but many can be avoided with proper training.
