Spinning Yarns is exactly the kind of helpful, fun, local business that I was looking for! I’ve always wanted to learn how to knit & Margo’s Beginners Class was exactly the comfortable environment I needed. Already signed up for more classes & I can’t wait to expand my knowledge! See More

I just visited a dozen yarn shops all over Vermont, Maine and NH. Everyone wanted to know where my home shop was. As soon as I said Spinning Yarn they would comment on what a good reputation they had.... They all had their own praises for Margo and Rick. Well they should. Fabulous selection of reasonably priced yarn, incredible knowledge, warm wonderful instructors, many classes to meet everyone's different scheduling needs and mistakes are welcomed and fixed. The more you buy the more you have an opportunity to save. Always something new. What's not to love? See More

Wonderful selection of yarn and delightful staff. I took a class here for provisional cast ons and German short rows, and the instructor was kind, patient, helpful, and had a hilarious sense of humor.... Looking forward to future classes. See More

I was visiting from out of state, and stopped in on July 7th. The shop is cozy and welcoming, has a great selection of yarn, some really cool antique fiber related objects decorating the shop, and th...e staff was wonderful. I can't wait to go back on my next visit. I wish I had grabbed 2 of the gorgeous Granite State Madeline Tosh skeins! Thank you See More

I used to go here ALL THE TIME when I still lived in the Dover area. Best knitting store I've seen -- great product but more importantly, super helpful and friendly staff. I miss going here!

Margot and Rick are so helpful and absolutely deny that they don't like to see my car pull up as I have another problem with my knitting project. They are soooo patient and such good teachers!

Magic Yarn!!! It changes color with sunlight! I had to hide it under the hat to show the change. Ah-mazing!! Watch the video.

An ombre kit isn’t essential (it would still be ace in a single colour), but it does make it especially beauti...

Look at these fun balls of yarn! New from Hikoo, Concentric. It’s a whole ball gradient. The Knit Purl Hunter has an April KAL scheduled with one ball. But I’m looking at Brickless shawl.
