Help raise money for SquirrelWood Equine Sanctuary.
A little tid bit from our fundraising dinner last night to help support our Equine-Assisted Veteran's Therapy Program at Squirrelwood Equine Sanctuary. Thank you Ed Kangas and Senator Bob Kerrey for such kind words of encouragement and support. Please help us to spread awareness of this new opportunity for Our US Veterans by sharing this introductory video Thank you.
Squirrelwood was proud to team up with Play for Your Freedom to host a Women Warriors Workshop. Female veterans from the NYC area joined us for a day of Equine Assisted Therapy, Yoga, Art, Sports and Music all while an eclipse was happening! What an amazing day. We received wonderful feedback and all participants and volunteers had an incredible experience. Photography by Heather Lupo.
Rabbit Update: despite the awful X-rays of his front feet he continues to get around and has an excellent appetite. We will keep fighting!

What a magical place to visit. Our 4H club spent the day at the farm feeding all the rescues homemade treats, made by our club members. They toured the beatifully kept facility and were given a bio o...n each rescue by our 12 year old volunteer guide. Horses, geese, pigs, goats, turkeys, chickens and a huge steer. Wonderful day, thank you Squirrelwood! See More

Diane and Beth are two of the most caring individuals I've ever had the privilege of working with. They are both experienced, smart horsewomen, upfront, reliable and trustworthy - qualities that are... sometimes difficult to find in the equine world, especially in a legitimate rescue program. They are doing amazing work at SquirreWood! Cindy Foley See More
