If this Valentine's Day didn't leave you with a baroquen heart (or even if it did), we invite you to hear the SLSQ play with this year's BANFF first prize winners the Rolston String Quartet. The octet will join forces with the Stanford Chamber Chorale to present some of the best of Bach and Handel. This concert will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 2:30pm in the beautiful Bing Concert Hall.

Look out! Four of Canada's "30 Hot Classical Musicians Under 30" are rolling into town as part of SLSQ's Emerging String Quartet Program. We can't wait to hear the Rolston String Quartet perform at 12:30pm at Campbell Recital Hall on March 8. The program will include Janacek Quartet No.2 "Intimate Letters" and Beethoven Quartet Op.59 No.2.
Students grade 9 to 11 can now apply for the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies program. This year we are thrilled to welcome back Hayoung Heidi Lee who will teach the "Why Music Matters" course she helped create.
Students will learn to listen critically to a range of music, both classical and popular, and gain analytical skills to probe into how a piece of music is composed. Students will be given opportunities to create and perform their own compositions.

The RNCM International Chamber Music Studio is looking to recruit an established and successful chamber ensemble for the role of Junior Fellows in Chamber Music, to become an active part of the RNCM’s world renowned chamber music department.
The deadline for applications is 10am on Wednesday 22 February 2017. Shortlisted ensembles will be required to attend an audition at the RNCM in March.
