Alton Baker, Sunday, February 11th! The Truffle Shuffle is back for its 37th year! Come out to support local veteran families by walking, running, and shuffling your way around the Alton Baker Park bike path! All participants receive a truffle at the finish line, and what better way to enjoy this weather than by getting out with your friends and family to help your neighbor?

The 36th annual Truffle Shuffle February 12 features a chocolate truffle for all finishers, with proceeds benefiting St. Vincent de Paul. Funds from the event will benefit Supportive Services for Veteran Families.For more information: click here

Community to celebrate completion of SVDP Youth House at 1:30 p.m. Thursday
Program will house 13 homeless, unaccompanied teen girls in former south Eugene church
Little more than a year and a half after south Eugene neighborhood leaders asked the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County (SVDP) to acquire the former Cascade-Presbyterian Church at 3350 Willamette St. and transform it into a facility to help the homeless, a standing-room only crowd is expected join the E...ugene-based nonprofit at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in celebrating the completion of a project that will provide rent free housing and social services to 13 homeless, unaccompanied teen girls with the aim of helping them complete their education and preparing them to live independently and successfully as adults.
“Thanks to extraordinary and unwavering support from the community, we’ve completed this project in a remarkably short period of time,” said Terry McDonald, executive director of St. Vincent de Paul. The Eugene-based nonprofit recently concluded a successful drive to raise the $1.86 million needed to pay for the project. “We provided an opportunity for the public to help build a bridge to a new future for homeless teens, and people responded with overwhelming generosity,” McDonald added.
Donations to the Youth House project can be made by sending checks (made out to “SVDP” and designated “Youth House Project” to St. Vincent de Paul at P.O. Box 24608, Eugene, OR 97402. UO Men's Head Basketball Coach Dana Altman is helping to raise money for Sacred Heart's Children's Miracle Network fund through the Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge. The more people who participate in the challenge the better chance Sacred Heart has to win $100,000! Let's help the Sacred Heart Medical Foundation by voting for Coach Altman, only 8 days left!

This year we'll be asking people to take a timeout from their daily lives to vote for the INFINITI Coaches Charity Challenge. Over four rounds of voting, fans will whittle our field of 48 coaches down to a final four. The coach with the most votes after four rounds wins $100,000 for their charity.
