Easter can't come soon enough. Bathurst 6 hour here we come. Getting to drive at Bathurst is always exciting and it will be made even more enjoyable to drive alongside a couple of great blokes in Rob and Marcel. The Platinum Motorsport A45 Amg is a proven fast little jigger so anything can happen. So stoked, what a way to spend Easter. 👌👍🚗💨🏁
Had a fun weekend behind the wheel of the Toyota 86 at Sandown. Awesome close racing and really working hard with all the young guys in the series. It's a great opportunity i have been given by Toyota and Neil Crompton's team. Next stop Bathurst. #cantwait #T86RS
Great weekend for our little Synergy Racing Team. P3 in pro masters was a great result for the big XY GTHO Falcon around the twisty Winton layout. It certainly suits the smaller more nimble Torana's. Next stop is one of my favourite places, Darwin. They run a great event that and the town just buzz's. Hope to see you there. Thank you to all our supporters of which some were at winton cheering us on. Illusion gas log fires #wmwaste #knoxtransferstation #herrodmotorsport #synergyraceengines #liquimoly @Touringcarmasters
How cool does this look? Clipsal TCM here we come. To represent the colours of Ian 'Pete' Geoghan's Super Falcon is an absolute honour, especially as he and dad spoke on a regular basis and also share the same birthday (Pete was 5yrs older) so this definately runs skin deep within our family. It's as last minute as you can get, (got the go ahead on Sunday) so for Steve Makarios, Andy, Michael and Brendan from Synergy Race engines it has been a mammoth task the last 3 days (wi...th next to no sleep) to get this car ready for Clipsal this weekend. You guy's are absolutely the best. This also wouldn't have been possible without the help from car owner Tony Karanfilovski and my sponsors Mark from WM Waste and Knox Transfer Stations, Rob Herrod (Herrod Motorsport), Glen King (King's Fibreglass), Pete from Dawson's Removals, Andrew from Illusion Gas Log Fires and many others. It's only a one off appearance at this stage but im focussed on putting on a great show so everyone wants to make it a year long program.. Come by and have a look and grab a photo if your at Clipsal, it's definately going to be a crowd favourite.. Check out the Old and New below.. Cheers SJ
Ok next stop Bathurst. I'm still just as excited to drive JB's 'Mustang Sally' there but still a little disappointed I won't be in the main race. Does anyone want to feed a bad prawn to one of the main game drivers on Sat night? #havehelmetwillrace Huge thanks to Wilson Security, Payce, TG Motorsport, Herrod Performance, WM Waste management services, Knox Transfer Station, Dawson Removals, all my supporters and to JB's wonderful team of guys and girls that make this all happen. It is the most fun I have had in Motorsport for a long time.
Wow how cool is this. JB really wants me on the grid to go head to head with him. And after the support from so many fans when i drove Sally to 4 wins from 4 starts in Tasmania JB and his JBR team have come up with this plan. We all are still working hard behind the scene to try to secure some corporate sponsorship so fingers crossed. Id love to be on the grid in Darwin and also for the rest of the year. Please share and lets see if we can make it happen. Thanks again to all my supporters who have been the backbone to the Johnson family for over 3 decades.
Had a great day in this weapon today. It was my first time having a good go on a real aerodynamic circuit like Phillip Island in a ground effects car. It was awesome and i had a ball. They are so fast through the corners its crazy especially compared to a V8SC. We weren't a little faster than a V8 supercar, we were about 3 sec faster. Were still 20kmh slower down the straight than a V8SC but were min 20kmh faster through the last corner. Goes to show how fast they are through the corners. Cant wait to put on new tyres for qualifying there in 3 weeks for round 2 of our championship on 22nd and 23rd May.
