This is where I get stuck. Not eating is easy but deciding when to start eating is the tough part! Seriously! Especially if I'm not cooking something I'm dying to eat, once you hit day 2-3 of fasting, your hunger hormones turn off. I'm at 43hrs. I can easily go until tomorrow. I guess I'll decide at dinner time.

The good thing about fasting that eating plain lettuce sounds so good right now! It really changes your taste buds.

My goal was to drop my blood sugar (accomplished...) and get my ketones higher in preparation for my Ragnar Relay race May 11.

I also have a LOT of inflammation from our vacation in England. I couldn't resist those croissants. 😋 It will take a few days but hopefully the ketones will reduce the inflammation in my joints and leg. 🙂

PSA:

Tick season is upon us. This video is not for tick squeamish but I got through it. I've had a tick on me already this season.

My husband has done the drag the cloth over the yard and found ticks. It's a good way to find where your tick reservoirs are. For us, it was the rock wall where the chipmunks live. They are the vectors for ticks near your house.

...

Dave sprayed the yard last week but with all of this rain, it will have to be done again this weekend.

Be aware!!! Daily tick checks!

Why can't you just flick a tick? Because it attaches to you with a mouth covered in hooks, while it fattens up on your blood. For days. But don't worry – there *is* a way to pull it out.

PSA: If you spend any time outside, ALWAYS CHECK FOR TICKS.

I mistakingly put 1tbsp salt in my keto coffee instead of 1tbsp collagen powder. Certainly not the taste I was expecting! I made the decision to brew a second cup. I couldn’t start the day on a salty note! #ketofuel #fatfueled

Sybil is a woderful friend, mentor, and butt kicker. Whenever I need motivation she is the first person I contact. She has been a wealth of knowledge about so many health and fitness related issues I'...ve had over the years. I have been trying to lose weight for years and after talking to Sybil and telling her about my diet and overall eating habits she was able to determine exactly why I wasn't shedding the weight. In the past 3 months I have dropped 15 pounds just from a change in diet. She is the perfect person to support you through your fitness journey. See More
